My grandparents left their home country as children when they heard the whispering of antisemitism starting in their home town. They got out and fled to America so I and future generations could be safe from persecution and mass murder. Only 2 generations ago.
And now America is becoming that country that they probably would have fled.
If you are not resisting, you are part of the problem.
And yes, I want non-Jews to reblog

WE STAN A HUMANITARIAN QUEEN 🇸🇱❤️🌟
There are some people on twitter proclaiming they don’t care about Heather Heyer’s death because it would be “centering whiteness”, which is just cruel & dehumanizing to me. It’s possible to have that conversation without dismissing that an innocent woman died while resisting fascism & white supremacy. There is nothing she could’ve done more than die & she has no control over how the media portrays her death…..because she’s dead.
What’s tragic is because so many oppressed people have been nothing but dehumanized by the oppressor, they naturally respond by dehumanizing them as well. This is seen as a form of resistance. But it leads nowhere. Freire had it right when he said that the struggle for liberation must be a struggle to end dehumanization of the oppressed & the oppressors, who are themselves dehumanized by oppressing. This doesn’t mean that they are equal of course, but means that the oppressor loses humanity/becomes inhuman (that is, not fully human) thru oppressing. Therefore, the struggle for liberation must not be to dehumanize our dehumanizers (as tempting as that is) but to strive to end dehumanization period (which obviously means the overthrow of the oppressors entirely).
Just wanted to share this coming out story from a guy I saw on First Dates. He came out to his dad when he was 20, and then his mum when he was 21, after trying very hard to hide that part of himself and never really discussing anything like that in their household. Hearing his mother’s response after he explained all that was really gratifying. To all Muslim LGBT+ people, As-Salaam-Alaikum <3
the people in grenfell died because they were poor.
the people in grenfell died because their landlord chose to spend money on flammable cladding because rich tenants in nearby penthouses didn’t like the ugly council building ruining their view.
the people in grenfell died because their landlord chose not to spend money on a centralised fire system or sprinklers or an additional fire escape.
the people in grenfell died because the tories voted against a law that would force landlords to make their buildings inhabitable and safe for their tenants.
the people in grenfell died because of the privatisation of social housing.
the people in grenfell burnt to death with their children in their arms because they were poor.

If your boyfriend, girlfriend, or even just an overly protective friend says anything like this to you in response to you going out, please dump them immediately. They will argue with you, they will be hurt that you don’t appreciate how much they care, they will have some reason you make them act like that, they may even have a sob story about being cheated on or having trust issues that makes you feel sorry for them or guilty. Don’t listen to any of it, and walk away immediately. They will absolutely go off the deep end and try to get you back with apologies and threats to you or themselves. Do not listen to it, tell people what’s going on, and cut off all contact. This is not loving, caring behaviour, this is dangerous manipulation.
DUMP HIM
“I don’t know why I’m allowing this” bc you’re not their fucking dad you ugly ass disgusting piece of shit. Dump their ass like, in a river, after beating them up with a crowbar.

Here’s what I wrote to @Netflix + @HotGirlsWanted about their new series “Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On” If you want to write to them yourself: https://media.netflix.com/en/only-on-netflix/113047
UPDATE: As if showing footage of models without prior consent wasn’t bad enough, now models have noticed that Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On also showed their REAL NAMES and facebook pages without consent! Unacceptable!!
