The chimes from the front door broke Seth out of his concentration. He was reading over documentation that he got from his latest shipments. He looked up from behind his glasses, quietly assessing the person. “Either you’re the person I sent for, or you’re here to look”. The human closed his book, folding his hands over it, “If you are here to look please keep in mind that this is a store not a museum. I do expect you to buy something, and not waste my time”. It certainly wasn’t welcoming, but this was his store and he could run it as he pleased.
“Well out with it then, what are you here for?”
Alden had to smile as he was told to buy something and not waste the person’s time. He wasn’t sure if he was impressed or not at the order though and he cleared his throat when he was asked what he was there for.
“I don’t know if I’ll buy yet, what if you don’t have anything of interest to me?”
He asked, his eyebrows raising as he gave a shrug and looked around at the items in the store, glancing back to the other male.
“I was actually hoping for something with Moroccan origins. Do you have anything?”
hotshotxtheus·:
Theus smirks— he’s not wrong about that, but it’s like going to Temple and pretending to be working out— he likes pretending things still affect him sometimes.
“ — I guess it’s too late to pretend I feel it and make you warm me up?
Prometheus still goes into the water— it’s a nice day, and it’s not really cold outside— or so says his phone.
“I think my client would have something to say about that.”
Alden replied and straightened a little bit, treading the water as he looked at the other escort and smiled at him. Theus was always rather a flamboyant escort, he made no attempt to hide what he wanted, and while Alden respected that, he also saw it as reckless.
“Do you enjoy the water? Or is it the scenery that’s brought you here?”
The Maid’s Day Off | Alden & Gale
from-beneath-it-devours·:
“Very well; I shall have someone look into it, for I would not have us stumble upon a charlatan once in Morocco. Would ten days please you? I would suppose the proper number would be twelve for I would not wish to include our flight within those ten days.”
The petite shewolf kenned that many spoke French and English, and yet, having a guide and translator for some days would be lovely. The rest, they could discover by themselves.
Galadrielle simply nodded; the future would be left where it was, as per his request. Yet, a smile graced her lips as Alden seemed to be caught in a state of disbelief. Time was a trickster, making things go so fast at moments, and then so slow at others.
“I held my promise Alden. You would leave when asked of me.”
For none had left her house from a decision she had taken herself.
“Yes shewolf, ten days would be very pleasing, are you sure you can spend the time away from your work? I do not want to burden you.”
Alden smiled to the shewolf, he was looking forwards to the time away, he may be used to Covaire and even growing used to being an escort, but he wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity to get out of the city for a while. He was excited for the cultural experience, and he felt like he could really breathe when they were outside the city walls. He knew she preferred it too as Alden could relax and be more himself, the rules of the city were left behind.
Time in this city didn’t work like it did in the real world, and while it went slowly for him, anniversaries and special dates suddenly felt like they sneaked up on him. He hoped to have many more days with the shewolf, but he wasn’t one to think too much about what the future could hold.
“I do not wish to leave, I hope to stay with you for many days, but I will not think too hard upon it for fear it will lead to hope and hopes are hard to keep hold of in Covaire. Ten days away though, it’s enough to keep a smile on my face, and hopefully yours, for we can be ourselves out there, so much more than we can in this city.”
Time flies || You & Baelfire [Closed]
baelfire-doyle·:
“I’ve been pretty busy– with slavery abolishing and the new ranks and rules, I had a fuck lot to get used to. I was Shutcall for more than five years, being a concierge is similar, but it’s a whole new place to learn about, and a lot more people to deal with. Took some time to adapt, so I’m might have been living between work and home for the past year. Haven’t been the best friend someone could ask– even though my ass was still available with a phone call.” He replied gently. Baelfire didn’t need to explain, but it had been a while after all. And he liked the wolf, so kinda felt shitty for falling off radar.
“That I am– four years now. We make a good team– not that we’re a team, but you get what I mean. I know what he wants and expects of me, so I give him that. And he takes me like I am– and that’s really all I need. I know people have been wondering why the fuck I didn’t leave, but even without my memories, I know unconsciously, I’d know something was wrong and my old pack knew I was here– so that could put them in danger, and trying to explain everything to my parents– it’d just be a fucking mess. But how ‘bout you man? How’s it been? I know you’re still with Galadrielle, but I’m interested in how you’re doin’!”
“You don’t need to explain Baelfire, I haven’t been very social myself. These new freedoms of being an escort take a while to get used to, I’m still not sure I’m comfortable with them, but Galadrielle takes care with helping me adjust and I’m grateful for it.”
Not to mention he could of picked up the phone should he have needed the other wolf, but he wasn’t one for technology, or to ask for help even if he needed it. He understood that people needed their own company sometimes and would never intrude intentionally.
“I do indeed.”
It was nice to know Baelfire and Leopold had survived all the change and adversity. He knew Baelfire probably didn’t have the easiest life with the Warden, and that he was probably busy, as was Leo, but they seemed to work, and that was enough for Alden to be happy for the other wolf.
“I would never ask why you didn’t leave, you all have your reasons, I know Kadyn stayed, as did Effy’s escort. You all have your own minds, though I will admit, had I been given the choice, I believe I’d of had to stay. My wolf is too dangerous for me to risk losing my memory and letting him loose upon the world.”
Alden smiled and nodded at him, knowing Baelfire wouldn’t pry too much, he valued privacy, even if he did report his observations to Leo. Alden had been around long enough to know it was part of his job.
“Good, actually I now have an allowance, so I have taken up surfing. I’ve seen you at the gym once or twice but do you have hobbies?”
Lost Cub ||Alden & Angel
@notasthenamedescribez
Alden saw the cub during his walk along the coves and had to wonder if he knew what he was doing out here alone. He could see the collar, which meant he was a prisoner and was due to have a chaperone when outside the Chateau walls.
“Are you lost cub? Or are you trying to escape the city by sea, as I can assure you, you won’t make it. I’ve seen many try.”
@hotshotxtheus
Alden laid in the ocean, just off the shore, and he was actually enjoying the cold water, when he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye and his head lifted for a moment to see the vampire. He smiled and rested back in the water.
“You should jump in Prometheus, considering you won’t feel the cold.”
Samuel had a strict schedule. Wake up, check emails, answer emails, work until 11:45a, change, and work out at 12:10p to 2:10p. He always gave respectful nods to Dexter for keeping his gym stocked with equipment for beings of his kind, also keeping the space clean, organized, and open. Some people said the gym was a good place to socialize…but for Samuel it was just to ensure he stayed in shape and stayed limber. It was his place to think, to decide, and figure out what his plan was for the rest of the week. When he heard someone approach him he stayed quiet, lost in thought as he continued to punch the bag.
“Samuel, I haven’t seen you in a while.”
Alden said as he approached the other, staying at a distance to try and minimize any distraction from what the client was doing. Alden had always liked the other wolf, he supposed it was mutual understanding, as Alden didn’t make waves, even when the city decided to make him a prisoner, though it was only for a brief period thanks to good testimonies from clients, one in particular, he didn’t fight it. He always accepted his fate, even if he didn’t want to. As an escort, he was still and probably always would be, finding his feet. Freedom like this was something he wasn’t sued to.
“I do hope you’re not imagining some poor person’s head when you’re hitting that.”

While the young vampire snorted in disgust, he stayed where he was. The other wolf gave an obvious cringe. “Yeah, he’d believe you? Shit, with her rep: an alcoholic trouble-maker who pissed off more people than you can count, he’d probably blame her.” He did step back. Mak couldn’t control her anger, another menacing growl coming from her as he tried to shake Alden off. He still wasn’t budging. “Whatever..” The vampire made his way to the wolf, eyes scanning over Mak, taunting the wolf. “We’ll see each other around again, no avoiding it.”
Alden sighed as he had to try and hold Makayla back before she really got in trouble and he growled himself. He could just let her go, but her ripping this male’s face off would only make his story a little more believable and that wasn’t a good thing right now. But Alden stayed calm, he knew he could take them if he needed to, he just didn’t want to.
“Yes. I’m not a liar, everyone knows that. Which is why you should walk away because I can take you, and the wolf, and I won’t break a sweat. So leave, and hope I don’t see you with her again.”
He watched, unmoving and unafraid and glanced to Mak, watching the vampire from the corner of his eye. If she was so adamant on taking him on, Alden would suggest a fight night at the gym, with witnesses and safety precautions, and if they want to make bets as to what happened to the loser, that was none of his business.
“If you snap back at him, he wins, and he’s not worth that. He also knows if you attack first he can get away with more. Control your temper cub, there’s a time and a place for this.”

Mak hadn’t been given the chance to react to being tossed to the wall before the wolf gripped her throat and kept her pinned. Though, she had more strength than when she was human, the guy was still stronger than she was. “Fuck off!” She hissed, eyes burning bright. Before anyone could say another word, someone else had stepped in, shoving the guy hard and away from her. Sucking in a breath, she slumped down into the wall, eyes glancing to Alden. “This isn’t any of your business.” The vampire sneered from the side. “I was just getting to know her.” He’d snickered. As Alden helped her up, something primal in Mak awoke, the girl growling out. “I’ll rip your fuckin’ head off.” She tried to push past Alden, but, well, he was bigger than her.
Alden didn’t care if it was his business or not, they were still bullying a young cub, that made them cowards. He shook his head in response.
“So if I tell the Alpha it took this many to push a young cub against the wall he’ll take your side will he?”
Cowards like these always hated it when you mentioned the Alpha’s and he loved to push their buttons. As makayla pushed at him, trying to get past, he held her and sighed.
“No, I think maybe we should all go our separate ways. You all know I’m not your average wolf, don’t push me.”

“Then it shall be done. Yet, one must confess of kerning but little of Morocco. Shall you be the one to act as a guide when we find ourselves there?” Galadrielle had not done much travelling in her years within the now disband Parisian clan, for Samuel had refused to let her leave the city without his company. Thus, her trip had been few compared to her days in Covaire.
“Another might come with more possibilities.” In such instance and suggestion, her mind travelled to Janathan whom had left her house to be with a friend. She trusted to hope such arrangement would not have fell through when slavery had been abolished.
“In ten months, one shall have been living in my company for three years, thus, I was given many occasions to witness him, but he has yet to change his views. One doubts such will become possible unless he calms down.” Alden had been at her side since October 15th, 2016. Far longer than all others who had lived under this roof before him.
“I know hardly anything myself, but it always sounds like it is full of culture, I’d say we simply find a guide when we are there, and go with the flow.”
Alden usually found that rather hard to do but he was willing to try, especially in a place he had wanted to see for some time. It was far from Covaire, perhaps the furthest they had been, but that thought only excited him more.
“I prefer not to think too much of the future, it leads to disappointment.”
He admitted and sighed, he knew she would if she could, maybe earlier he wouldn’t of, but he’d got to know her enough now to believe her, but things were never that simple.
“Has it been that long?”
It didn’t feel like that, so he to chuckle and rub at his neck.
“I didn’t think we’d make it this far, but I am glad we have.”
Whites and Reds | Alden & Deaon
deaconxalbright·:
Deacon laughed at his good guess and then quickly added, “Oh mean really? Sorry about that. Just a good guess.” Deacon usually wanted a very specific kind of attention from a very specific group of people in the city so for the most part he did keep his head down. He didn’t mind the flamboyance of the new escorts. Escorts needed to put themselves out there, being a civilian Deacon didn’t have to. He gave Alden’s reasoning a friendly nod, “I get it man.” He came around the counter and looked through the clothing that the wolf had brought in, “I mean that is one way to do it. But if you want them to be really clean warm water is better. If a red sock sneaks into your whites then you’ll end up wearing a shade of red called i-totally-forgot-a-red-sock-in-my-white-clothes.”
The guess didn’t bother Alden, he’d learnt not to get offended by others years ago, and wasn’t going to be upset over words, they couldn’t really hurt him after all. Which is why he didn’t mind looking clueless when it came to such a menial task. He’d done his own laundry in the military but that was about a century ago, or just shy of it. Things had changed.
“Is that a shade? I thought colours were normally shorter words than that.”
He teased and gave a small chuckle, shaking his head.
“I’ll follow your advice, you’re the expert. As long as it takes a few minutes so we can have a quick drink, I’m happy!”
bryce-cooper·:
“I’m actually more hungry than anything”. Bryce was always a stress eater. It was either copious amounts of sweets, or piles of meat, that was what usually made him feel better. He looked up at the older wolf, smiling at him, “You’re always so nice, Alden. Thank you. I-I’m not even a fan of clubs, so I don’t know why I agreed to come here”.
Bryce pulled out his wallet and started to fish through it, “I’ll pay you back, okay?”
Alden smiled at Bryce and slid his arm around the cubs arm, pulling him closer and walking to the club.
“I’ll pay for us both, but we don’t have to stay long if you don’t want to. We can always get food on the way home.”
Of course Bryce would walk him home, he didn’t want to upset anyone but he also thought it best to make sure Bryce got back to Le bordel safe and sound, just in case whoever he was meant to be meeting was stalking him, or had more ulterior motives.
“You don’t need to, really Bryce, it’s fine.”
He smiled and payed the door tab, pulling Bryce inside, the music was already loud, and he wasn’t a big fan of clubs himself, but it was nice to have a change.

The two males: one vampire and one wolf, had seen her leave the cafe after her shift, taking it upon themselves to follow her. The vampire, a civilian, and the wolf, an escort, had been making snide remarks at Mak as they went, taunting her about her triggering, her past mistakes. She knew the wolf, had known him since they were slaves, and he was nothing but a douche. The vampire was new to her. Making her way to the street, Mak stopped short when the vampire suddenly appeared in front of her and, taking her by the arms, sped them into the nearest alley. Shoving her roughly into the wall, he snickered as her eyes lit up. The wolf blocked the alley entrance while the vampire slowly circled her. She was flanked on either side. Her eyes was on the vampire as he inched closer, smirking, when the wolf had moved in and struck out, a harsh kick landing to the back of her knee. With a grunt of pain, she went down to her knees, growling as she turned to the wolf. “C’mon, let’s see if you’re still as weak as you were before.” He sneered, grabbing a fist full of her hair and pulling her up, tossing her into the wall again.
Alden didn’t like seeing anyone manhandled, and he may have come in to this half way through, only seeing the last part as she was pushed against the wall but he didn’t like it, it didn’t care if it was a male or female, nobody should be treated like that. He growled and pushed the other wolf out of the way, only needing to let his eyes change color before the wolf decided to step aside. He may not of liked the wolf inside of him, but he was glad he was a vicious animal at times like this. People knew of the bloodshed it left behind when it got out and were scared of him for it.
“One on one would be more fair, proves you’re nothing but cowardly dogs. Can’t you handle one little girl on your own.”
He said as he approached Mak and picked her up off the wall.
“You can handle one, can’t you Makayla!”

For a moment Alden wondered if Bryce was making enough money to eat but he hoped Galadrielle wouldn’t allow that to happen, and nor would Ben most likely. Bryce had many friends in the city.
“Food then.”
Alden didn’t mind, he didn’t have much else to spend his money on, every now and again he may get something for Galadrielle but he needed nothing, and what he wanted he was used to living without.
“You don’t have to worry about it, really. And you’d do the same for me.”
Which he fully believed he would.
“But I do have to ask, are you okay?”
The Maid’s Day Off | Alden & Gale
from-beneath-it-devours·:
“Such a thing to say; when one kenned I would not do so.” The petite shewolf would not inflict her caprices upon the wolf, for within her mind, he was the one to decide of such events to partake in. “If one wishes to visit Morocco, then it shall be done, Alden. You ken I would break your chain if possible.” She had come learn he would most likely disapprove of being released outside of the walls, for he would be dangerous when the full moon shone bright, and yet, all she could trust to hope, was for to give him proper citizenship. For as a civilian, she trusted to hope he would learn to let go of his servitude.
“He disapproves of my favouritism, even though he wishes me death. He has yet to comprehend none other than I, has ever cared to hearken to him. Maybe a day shall come when a discussion is possible, but such thing shall not occur for many years.” The beast was far too angry for such mundane thing; he raged at her, of her weakness and refusal to release him. She wondered at times if he would indeed kill her given the chance, or kenned that her death would bring his own, or permanency within the Chateau.
“Then i would love to go.”
Alden had to smile, how strange that in many ways, they worked the same way, not wanting to over step boundaries, following guidelines bred in to them whether through pain or deprivation. It was enough to make he chuckle a little, knowing somewhere in the back of his mind she would not propose a destination and it was up to him to make an offering. Knowing she would not refuse him once he had. But he was happy to go to Morocco, somewhere different from their usual trips from the city, and somewhere with culture. It meant Alden could escape in his head and feel for a while, like he was normal.
“I believe you would, but without you I am a prisoner in this city, not an escort.”
Should something ever happen to Galadrielle, Alden would surely end up back in the cells and he knew it. Luckily he also knew he would survive in there for he had been in much worse.
“You know him well already, and see him so little.”
Alden may have been in Galadrielle’s household for over a year, but it was only a dozen or so times she had seen the beast inside of him. Hearing her say that they would not have a proper discussion for years made him think about the monster within, and how vile it was, even to those he cared for. Perhaps people were right, and it was time he try to break through the barrier between them, try to communicate at least, but he feared instead of having a calming effect on the wolf, it would enrage the man in him.
