The OPL welcomes the South Dakota Truckers. Don’t let the flannel jersey fool you – these guys are true road warriors.
The OPL welcomes the Pennsylvania Pushers. Tired of the 9-5 grind of paperwork and numbers, lookout they’re ready to punch your clock!
The OPL welcomes the Motor City Gearheads. These grease monkeys are about high octane performance.
The second team to join the OPL - The New Jersey Busboyz. Often over looked but always ready for action. The Busboyz hit the field and clean up!
The first team to join the OPL - The Minnesota Jerks. Nobody serves up fun like a old fashion soda jerk. Enjoy your sugar rush, but be careful with your attitude or he may be coming across the counter to say hello!
My latest creative journey - The Ordinary Players League (OPL)… I really enjoy sports graphics but have noticed that most team name/branding concepts start from animals or some element of warrior. We’ve become accustomed to Lions, Bears, Vikings and Gladiators of all size and species…but what if our team names were birthed from just the everyday, the ordinary. What if my mailman, or my barber, or my 5th grade teacher became the emphasis of a team identity?
The idea made me chuckle and thus creatively I knew I needed to develop such a place. The OPL is growing and I have a full list of fun (or funny) stereotypes and ideas. This is turning out to be a great creative diversion from the routine.
I hope you enjoy, maybe even get a laugh from the members of the OPL – please comment or leave a suggestion, it may make it’s way on the list.
