      the gesture seems to catch him off guard for a split instant  .  but then again  ,  this is mikado   ;   his best friend  .  it was only natural that he’d want to look after him  .  the blond flashes the other a fond smile even in spite of how how utterly exhausted he is  .  ❛  thanks  ,  man . .  ❜    he replies  ,  taking the beverage gently in hand  .  truthfully however  ,  masaomi isn’t really sure if anything can cure how sleep deprived he is on an almost daily basis  .  mikado doesn’t know about that side of him   &   he never will if masaomi has any say in it  .

despite adjusting to all ikebukuro is , mikado still can’t help but notice the little things within his best friend of many years. while he may belittle his ... strange ways ; be it his bad jokes or persistent flirting out and about, he truly does care about masaomi. so of course he noticed the oddities ━━━ or, well, the actual oddities within golden behavior, how tired he’s been seeming lately. as he takes the drink mikado returns his hands to his lap, posture stiff - like someone who still doesn’t quite belong.
