Her genre-spanning discography, songwriting, and artistic reinventions have received critical praise and wide media coverage. Born in Provincetown, Massachusetts, Finlay moved to L.A. at age 17 to become a music artist. She signed a songwriting deal in 2007 and a recording contract in 2008.
