We had an amazing night tonight, everyone was on form and even though the hall was about 100 degrees we still scrimmed for 1 and a quarter hours... We were aiming for badass... We may have achieved it! Happy days :)

Happy Birthday to us!!! Our 6th birthday fell on our Sunday practice. 

There were silly games, hats, balloons and of course Mrs. Kripling’s selfie stick!

We’re pleased to announce that LDRR raised a grand total of £1500 for our charity of 2015 - Womens’ Aid Leicestershire Limited (WALL).

The cash was raised through an array of events including a unique game of audience participation rollerderby, and a sponsored head shave by skater Kirsty Lagas.

Thank you to everyone who got involved or donated, and to WALL for being lovely to work with! We will announce our charity for 2016 in the new year....

What’s this? A scrimmage, a free skate AND a chance for our fellow Zeebs to take the WFTDA test that is like no other… How hard you say?? HELLA HARD they say!! Shake off your winter blues, jump out of bed and come and join us for the fun. We have 2 tracks from 9am-1pm 9am – 11am Track 1 – Zeebs do Hella Hard Stuff Track 2 – FREE SKATE 11am – 1pm Track 1 - SCRIMMAGE TIME! Track 2 – FREE SKATE Free skate – free skate is open to all levels of skaters, both male and female they must be over the age of 18. This is for the full 4 hours. The first 2 hours is also open to all skaters who are taking part in the scrim so please be mindful of each other on the track, as there will be mixed skill levels. Hella Hard stuff for Zeebs – Our lovely Zebras will have 2hrs of access to a full size track and will be tested in all areas of WFTDA ref skating skills. The written test will be administered later on in the event (if required) for both refs and NSO’s. Scrimmage – The scrimmage will be co-ed, we would advise that you have passed your skills and have a minimum of 3 open door bouts under your belt. Again this will be a mixed level co-ed scrimmage so please be awesome to each other. This also includes the first 2 hours of free skate on track 2 :) So how much does this all cost? NSO’s you are the biggest bargain of ZERO pounds. Skaters you are super top bargain of FIVE of your New English Pounds. Referees who want to qualify as being HELLA HARD then that’s SEVEN squids for our coaching teams time, and please we would love for you to stay to ref the scrimmage. We do also have a really special skater deal that we have set up with our lovely friends Rebellion Roller Derby. If you attend their scrimmage on Friday the 20th February, grab one of the dollies for a half price ticket, yup that’s right you can get in for only £2.50 woooo – you are WELCOME! We closed our doors to the public and we worked our butts off for the last 6 months. We played our first game and we went up 14 places. Believe = Achieve!
