When you're unable to solve an IT problem at work, there really is nothing quite like having it escalated all the way up the ladder. With every step, there is a degree of smugness about how real my problem is, and that yes, I was right to have trouble with this.

You can get a minor version of this if one IT person solves it but they spend a bunch of time repeating things you’ve already tried and when they eventually solve it it’s by doing something you wanted to try but didn’t have the requisite permissions to do

Was in a situation where neither I, nor my boss knew what was causing the problem, so we ended up calling one of the head engineers, and ive never experienced anything quite as validating as the moment where said head engineer, after spending several minutes just staring at the problem, quietly said "what the fuck"

Hello gay people! I’m back with another monster high piece. As I was deleting some old work, I stumbled across my Rochelle g3 wip that I never finished, so I decided to finish it since i didn’t have anything else to do.

Saw a post today about that one trans guy that was accepted into a woman's soccer team but he had to detransition to be accepted and in an interview he said he feels supported, and people were making fun of him about it and using this as an example on how every trans guy is better accepted in the world.

But also I was like. Guys. You don't get a job and go into an interview to tell people how much it sucks to get the job..... He'll probably talk about how it sucks in like. Five years from now when he's no longer playing for the team.

Please let put our thinking caps for a moment and see where this guy might fall on the detransition data

And wonder what happens if you're trans and don't have a job and get offered a job (money) but you have to detransition for it.

Also let's think about how fucking awful it's for the team manager which's mostly likely a CIS PERSON to say that they won't accept trans women in the team but they will accept a trans guy, but only if he detransition. Like this is plain transphobic on every front. Getting a job but only if you detransition it's NOT a privilege???
