I'm pretty sure that's the reverse shot to Raglan bitching about the cover. He was sassing too close to the Sun it couldn't make it to the final cut š
Shout out to the two Justin Kirk TVL fan moots who caught this referencešš
The way this looks like a twisted version of Lestat spying on Nicki after being turnedššš

Glad Iām not the only one feeling some kind of way about Magnus š« Morbid is definitely the right word..
The flashbacks did it for me. The characterization is so deliciously unsettlingš¤¤
That's his fledglingā¹
I'm so morbidly attracted to him
This is a random theory, but I wonder if that flashback of Marius doing to Lestat what Armand did to Daniel (like father/husband like son/husband) levitating him and throwing him around the room is actually Akasha. The scene is framed as if Marius is the one doing it, but he and Akasha have the same expression on their faces. I wonder if she is mindcontrolling Marius or something.
Anyway, can't wait to see papa!
I would love that, Akasha playing him like a puppetš
Marius feeding Lestat like a birdš„¹
Book accurate Gabriella sighting!!!
The unfathomable sorrow in Lestat's voice when he regrets having called Louis insane. Oh Nicolas, Lestat's heart will never stop bleeding for you
what I fucking love is how tvl was written in the 80s and lestat is constantly sayinf shit like āas the kids say 𤪠thatās so rad!!ā or whatever, and to me, reader of the vampire lestat in this modern age, that does NOT register the way anne rice intended it.
like it is supposed to feel jarring and insane. it is supposed to feel like lestat has been violently submerged in modern young people trends and culture and is now repeating all the new words he learned like a beautiful fresh baby. but because the book is from 1985, all I think is oh interesting huh I didnāt know that slang term even originated in the 80s how vintage how retro how lestat wow heās so embarrassing aw aw so cute.
but amc in all their incredible genius decided that honoring anne riceās original vision of writing an extremely modern and weird book that fully embodied the era it was written in was more important then bringing back the 80s nostalgia thing that streaming services love and itās incredible to me. now I get to listen to lestat say shit like ālabubu FOMO cosplay reddit discord Gen Z more like gen SNOOZE š¤Ŗš¤Ŗš¤Ŗ safe space pronouns donald trump labubu tiktok dance šŗš»ā and suddenly I understand what it felt like to be a young anne rice reader in 1985. Godā¦. I understand.
