If you want to call yourself “victim” instead of “survivor” or other terms, that’s valid.

Whether it’s because “victim” feels honest to you, or “survivor” may feel like trying to be too positive or any number of reasons.

You are valid to label yourself how you choose. It doesn’t mean you’re weak or pathetic. Use whatever label(s) feel comfortable to you.

So proud of everyone who has left abusive, toxic, or unhealthy relationships. It’s not easy to do at all, and if you did that, you should feel so proud of yourself, instead of blaming yourself for how long it took you to. It’s an incredibly strong, brave and resilient thing to do.
