“No way. Just because I have a dream about someone and want to tell them about, doesn’t mean I’m hitting on them.”
“No, I do. I just don’t get along with shopping.”
“That makes more sense. You know what, you need to do online shopping.”
“You’re kidding me, right? Have you never tried potato skins?”
“Never. Like I said, it sounds gross.”
“Honesty– neither have I. She’s kept to herself so much recently that I never really got to talk to her much when I did see her. I don’t know why she’s been so distant, but if you can get more than two word answers out of then you’ll be a hero.”
“But she’s your sister...” Dominic scratched his head, confused. He couldn’t imagine not talking to or knowing what his brother was up to. “Oh, no. She never talked to me much as it was.”Â
“You’re the worst and I hate you–” she shouted through laughter shoving him playfully.
“How will I live?” Dominic kept in laughter through a serious expression. “You know what I was thinking? You know how a lot of friends have a pact that when they are 30 or 40 or whatever and still not married, they’ll marry eachother? That can never be us, because I won’t get old, but you will. I think I can already see a wrinkle right there,” he looked at her face.Â
Clary smiled. “Well I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“As you should. You’ve got a nice face.”
“Sad, but true, brother of mine,” Charlie said with a giant laugh. Charlie just beamed. He never took things seriously, even when he should. “I’ll be fine, man.”
“I’m serious, we’re having a moment. Embrace it.” Dominic folded his arms across one another. “What would i do without you man? Who’s gonna be the ying to my yang? Or the yang to my ying, I don’t freaking know.”Â
“Not technically speaking but I grew up with with them and one of them turned me so I’m the closest thing.”
“Oh wow. How does it feel living all those years?”
“That’s funny because I don’t recall yours,” She shrugged, “I don’t know, do you always use horrible and slightly creepy pick up lines on girls who don’t know you?”
“Ew, wait take at least 4 steps back.” Dominic put his hands over his ears. “You think I was trying to hit on you?”Â
“Oh! Well, props to you then. I don’t think I could stand it for a minute.”
“Do you not get along with your Mom or something?”
