have some Angelique headcanons! (because I quite honestly haven't been giving as much attention to our resident girl boss like she deserves)
- Angie is a bit older than the boys, in about her late 20's - early 30's (the boys are confirmed to be in their mid 20's)
- She constantly forgets about her slime prosthetic arm at first. She's working in the lab most days, and she wears long sleeve coats and latex gloves most of the time, so when she does finally take off her coat she always has to do a double take before remembering; "oh yeah, my right arm's now made of weird sea goo"
- speaking of her arm, she gets real bad phantom pain at times. her slime arm doesn't feel pain like it used to, and if something clips her or she bumps into something, she just feels more discomfort than anything else. so, of course, her brain fills in the pain she's supposed to be feeling because human brains are stupid like that.
- She hides her arm while out in public, which isn't too hard since she can just wear a jacket and a glove, but it can get a bit annoying in the hotter months
- she has more of a pear shaped body, with scars littering all over her from her time on the island, especially from when she was almost killed by the spiders. the scarring's the worst on her hands though, from the many harsh chemicals she's handled and first and second degree burns from too hot bunsen burners. (all three have those, hers are just more prominent cause she's been doing this longer lol)
- Angelique's trauma shows in moments where she messes up or makes mistakes, forgetting that there isn't an immediate life on the line anymore, hers or someone else's. She copes by burying herself farther into her work, causing her to forget to eat or sleep or even to go home in the first place for days. In those cases, Philip and Howard have to drag her out kicking and screaming before they shove her in the backseat of their car, where she immediately passes out from over exhaustion. Philip then makes a big dinner for them all and lets her crash on their couch for the night.
- if there's a tier list of how sociable the three are, Angelique would be smack dab in the middle. she's good at socializing with others if there's a person or subject in common, but if she's alone with complete strangers she's cooked 💀
- she's not much for fashion most of the time. she usually just throws on what's most practical (and the cleanest) and heads out the door. she owns maybe one dress that she's worn a handful of times.
- Philip's usually the one that has to drag both Angie and Howard out of the lab to just go out and do something as simple as getting lunch, because if it were up to those two, they'd stay in that lab doing research 24/7. there was a time where Philip and Howard convinced Angelique to go on one of their fishing trips with them, which she actually really enjoyed
- Angie's lab was built near a lake, where she keeps and feeds Nessie! Angie regularly studies her behavioral patterns and occasionally takes samples (with a treat for Nessie afterwards, of course)
