Book really is about found family

The feeling of being accepted and unconditionally loved and not having to earn someones love is so important. My protag felt she had to earn her parents affection her entire life, or being shunned. Except she was wrong; they always held her in contempt because she was not the way they wanted her, and all their affection was forced. And she learns this through experiencing unconditional love from the Kingdom her parents sold her to.

I don't think Tolkien is a good fantasy writer because he scored the highest at some objective Best Fantasy Book Test that every fantasy writer has to take, I think he's a good fantasy writer because he created a world based on things that he was interested in. I feel like a lot of fantasy writers think that they need to create a whole language for their world because Tolkien did and obviously his books are the best so they have to emulate him, but Tolkien did that because he was a linguistics nerd. I think the lesson to be learned from him is not that you have to include elves and deep history and new languages, but that you have to write endlessly about the things you are a huge nerd about and use those things to create your fantasy world

Sometimes my streamer plays games I’m not interested in. Instead of complaining, I watch anyway, sometimes with the tab muted, sometimes just listening to him talk about a game he enjoys.

I’m just happy he’s happy and that’s where I get my joy :)

Kinda wild that I've only been a fan of Taylor since December, and she is already my comfort artist.

She has a song for every single one of my emotions. Been listening to music my entire life. I love all my favorites; but Taylor is truly the only one who has had a significant impact on my life. As she introduced me to writing poetry. Before, I felt it was beyond me. Now it comes easily.
