Find what works for you
For the longest time I thought that losing weight “the healthy way” didn’t work for me, and never would. I told myself that because I was going to the gym everyday and not losing a pound, I needed to find other options. I tried cleanses, extreme workout plans, and when nothing worked I gave up. I thought that no matter what I did, I would never lose weight. Now, here I am after almost two months of regularly exercising and eating healthier, and I’m finally losing weight. Cleanses and extreme diets don’t always work, and they aren’t always healthy. Over the past 2 months I have found that by changing up my exercise routine each week and eating more organic foods, I am able to lose weight, gain muscle, and be overall healthy. Please don’t resort to “quick weight loss options” just because you are frustrated. It takes time, patience, and hard work. The moral of this post is that you need to find the right balance for YOU. Just exercising might not be enough. Eat more fruits and vegetables, eat less processed foods. Include strength AND cardio into your exercise routine. Find what works for you, and stick with it.
I’m back!
Hey everyone! I’m back from over a year long hiatus. I gave up my weight loss journey for awhile because of personal reasons. I’m so happy to say that I’m back and thriving!
While I haven’t been fully committed to eating healthy and exercising regularly, I have been improving over the past month or so. I’m down to 165 lbs (6 less than my last weigh in on here.) I’ve also achieved some personal records as I have started to actually start running instead of solely using the elliptical or fast walking.
I’m looking forward to recommitting to my healthy lifestyle and watching all of you grow, too!
hey, you.
yes, you!
i am so proud of you.
keep moving forward.
you’re doing amazing.
Sunday RUNday 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Ran 12 miles today at a 8:59 (yeah I know) min/mile pace. Wanted to only throw up once cause it was sooo freaking hot but it was such a beautiful run! ✨🤘
Happy Tuesday! Starting my day off with a big bowl of chocolate peanut butter oats 👏 ½ cup rolled oats cooked in 1 cup @foragerproject cashew milk + 1 tsp chia seeds then topped with banana 🍌, @purely_elizabeth chocolate sea salt probiotic granola 🤤, @enjoylifefoods dairy free chocolate chunks, and melted chocolate peanut butter (how-to in stories)

I didn’t want to go to the gym after work today, but I still made it happen. Only 5 more workouts until I hit my monthly goal of 20. At this rate, I’ll exceed it!
Friendly reminder to check you’re not holding tension in your body. Let your shoulders drop, unclench your hands and jaw. Take a deep breath. Much better.
