The grassroots organization in the Twin Cities that has stood up to ICE is an example of how anarchism works: it is horizontal and participatory, without centralization or authority.
How could we live without centralization or authority?
Here's an FAQ to answer your questions:

"I WANT TO EAT BUGS WITH YOU UNDERGROUND" by JULIE DANHO.
The scientist on the radio said that humans will survive, and, at first, I was buoyed, but she meant only some of us, the ones living in tunnels, eating crickets to survive when the rest had died from mass starvation after droughts lasted longer and seas rose faster and wars killed bigger because everyone wanted what little was left. I’d be fine with being one of the billions dead unless you were still alive. Under a down comforter or by a trash fire, I want to be where you are. You know how poorly I dig holes, how angry I get when I’m cold, how twice I’ve accidentally maced myself, and still you’d take me with you down into the earth, give me more than my fair share of caterpillar.
Eavesdrop - Axel about Errol?
“Yuh don’t get it, Fun. I didn’t even think I was intuh men. He ain’t always a man, but he’s a weird spidery lookin’ one when he is, and I sure weren’t expecting that’d be my type! Plus, he’s all hot and flirty but in this way that’s a little too smart fer me and I feel like I’m gettin’ made fun’a. I go all sharp when he does it. But then sometimes he’s so sweet, and cuddly, and and and — vulnerable even, and I go soft like my heart’s melti- hey, hey don’t gimme that look I know I got it bad-!”
"my life isn't a crime, I'm not one of those people -"
"you sure? new parameters for Those People just dropped. check again."
And if you truly cannot imagine this, if you're convinced that it will never happen to you, consider this one thing.
Would you want scammers to know the state of your loved one's dementia?
I need privacy, not because my actions are questionable, but because your judgement and intentions are.

Thinking again about the Modern AU for the Gang where they run a queer anarchist coffee shop. Particularly about the subject of any of them having kids.
As I’ve mentioned to one or two people in DMs I’d been imagining them childless as they grow older but I did realize a few of them would get involved in mentoring or big brother/sister style programs. Mentoring programs would be a good fit for Kali, Mick, and Funshine especially.
I’m still undecided on if Kali would want kids (I think she is too). Perhaps she never decides or maybe something forces her hand (a pregnancy scare or the like) and she suddenly comes up with an answer. Even then, maybe it never happens.
I know for sure Funshine looks into whether or not fostering is a possibility. He unfortunately has extra hoops to jump through due to his unique family/living situation, what with being an openly queer activist/political dissident living with a found family of four other very openly queer activists/political dissidents. Them all owning their own business does help a little though.
Mick and Dottie make a go of it. Mick is the one to carry the baby because her and Dottie both know how bad a forced hospital stay could be for Dottie’s medical trauma. Dottie makes an effort to be there holding Mick’s hand at every doctor’s appointment, and they kiss and tell each other it was all worth it when they get to hold the baby together.
Axel never has kids. He’s too terrified of being unable to properly look after them like he was with his sister, but he becomes a fantastic uncle to the rest of the polycule’s children.
They make for an interesting family unit, in their apartment above the coffee shop. And raising kids in Toronto can’t be cheap, but they’ve arguably done more with less. Either way, those children are going to be the bitchin’est kids on the block.
