First of all, I’d like to apologize for my absence in the past week. Truth is my personal life has become complicated, confusing and very trying. Two members of my family are dying rapidly, and there’s nothing I can do for them. It’s taken a toll on my role-playing capabilities for all of my accounts. Therefore, I have decided to go on a semi-permanent hiatus. I’ll lurk on tumblr and try to get over this writers block, but rping is put on hold for now.

The fun of it has been sucked out, drained so to speak. I can’t focus on my threads and that’s not fair to my partners. I need to break this writers block somehow, if only to finish my novel. (I’ve been struggling with it since the start of the year, go figure.)

I’m sorry to disappoint you guys, but I feel this is the best solution for now. I hope you guys understand and know that I am online and my askbox is still open. You wanna talk to me or ask me questions? Then please do. If you need help, are sad etc. Please come to me, I’ll be there to listen. I love you guys, but I need to do this. For me.

Age: 21

Looking down to the floor he could see his shins and the ugly pink surgical scars that ran up them. Sitting on the cold tile floor of his shower was something he'd been doing more and more often. Tears rolled down his cheeks where they were washed away by the hot water. His dream had come crashing down around him, all his life he'd been working towards the Army infantry. And now, that dream was impossible. During his training he'd developed shin splints, they had to be surgically restored. And even then it had taken him months to walk again. All for naught, sure he was honorably discharged, but what good did it do to him?

Nothing.

Looking up at the shower head he let his tears roam free. His thoughts strayed to his father, a man he'd never known. Would he be proud of him? Would he have loved him, protected him? All Jarek knew was a name and he could only hope that his father would have loved him. That he hadn't left because of Jarek. Sides, if he'd been here his father would be proud of his new job, at least that's what he hoped.

He worked for SHIELD now, sure he was just the security guard but it was an important job. It paid his bills and to pay for food he'd taken a job as a stripper in a ladies club. America was a land of opportunities even for a Canadian like him.

He'd find his father. He'd find Victor Creed and get his answers.

He vowed to himself he would.
