Former Mission Catwalk top four contender Francester Christie has come a long way from his time on the competition. From his pursuit of career advancements in London to showcasing his collection in major cities like New York, Franz is certainly making waves in the fashion industry. For his Collection MoDa collection Franz Christie took a step away from his signature style to showcase his create a more structured collection entitled the "Tailored Woman" showing us a bit of his versatility . Christies' manipulation of fabrics is what makes his designs spectacular, structural but remaining flowy and soft, and ofcourse he couldn't resist using a little print in there, staying true to his brand aesthetic. Models playfully floated down the runway in thigh high slit, wide-legged trousers, off the shoulder dresses, vintage-styled paper bag skirts and optical illusion pants to the soothing base of "The black to Black" Great Gasby remix. His collective use of earth tones, vibrant greens, yellows and plums in linens silks and lace gives a distinct relaxed Caribbean feel while remaining elegant and classy. A crowd favourite was definitely his couture piece, a surprising twist on the wardrobe essential jumpsuit, with printed fabric added to the back creating a long flowy trail to the back. His collection was styles with natural shell and beaded necklaces made by local designers including pieces from his father's collection. We are truly excited and look forward to what Franz Christie has in store for us as he continues on his fashion journey.
