Meet Grandma Sarah, one of the last Paradesi Jews in Kochi. Next to her is Thaha Ibrahim, he's her Moslem shopkeeper & caretaker. As she gets older, she cannot make embroidery anymore, so Ibrahim takes over. He helps her to practice her religion like prayers, prepare her kosher foods. He takes care of her like his mother. From what I see on the street, average Indian male wears a plaid shirt (some plain) and dhoti. It's a traditional rectangular unstitched cloth about 4.5 metres wear by men. It has a lot of names based on region. Interestingly you can tell by how they tied it up whether they're in chill mode or hustle mode.
For those who don't know, I went to a week trip to a small part of South India (Kochi, Thrissur, Alleppey). Go to my previous post to see what I experience on my short & sweet trip.
Lately, I've been obsessed watching sketchbook tour video. They all look beautiful. It helps to record your progress and process. I also have a note/sketchbook obsessions, but I never look at it that way. I filled my sketchbook randomly and without guideline of what I want to learn about.
Several days ago, I bought myself a nice drawing book thick enough to use my rusty watercolour set. I think it's time to re-learn how to use watercolour properly. I don't know how long this will last, but I'll try my best to post regularly.
As you can see, I already give up on inktober completely, I tried some sketches but it doesn't come out good. I admire those who can stick to it, drawing every day without a hitch. I'll try to learn how to draw faster & better so I can join the challenge next time.
24/31 - I miss the cold days when I can wrap myself in a blanket with a choco drink and a good book. I missed inktober about a week, trying to continue till the end, wish me luck.
23/31 - My version of Frankenweenie. I think he's really adorable ☺ I was so busy last week I couldn't even draw a stick man. From today on I'll try to catch up.

9/31 - I used to fight the urge close my eyes when Michael turn into monsters but I can't close my eyes because I was afraid I'll miss his incredible dance moves.

7/31 - Something stuck in my head and I can't get it out. Sometimes things are not going the way we plan it to be. Inktober 2/31 - I emptied my brain out on the weekend. A couple of birds live here now and I have to make the move to place the new brain.
