Still ran kinda late. It has been... busy.

So anyway, here is page 2.

So, I restarted this comic with the idea of starting to post a page a week. I figured it would be easy since I would just reuse the redrawn comic pages from (15) years ago to start, to save time and let me work on the rest of the page redraws ahead of time....

Then I decided this comic needs to be in color, so I couldn't post the redraws anymore. Now they all need to be in color AND I'd honestly fixing some of the slightly less old art as well. BUT between work, work, family, life in general, lack of sleep... well, it's been much slower going than I'd like.

So I've made a "responsible" decision. There is a lot of pre-made lore to this comic, some which may never make it into the comic, as well a lot of history to its creation. Between posting comic pages, I'm going to feed some background info on the world, characters, creation/creators. I'm going to include with it either a current doodle or some old artwork (I have plenty on hand.)

So, below is a quick sketch of a rare moment, Sparkkie being thoughtful and quiet.

Page 1.

Phew, finally managed to get this finished. After deciding to rebrand the comic and go from grayscale to color, I made the grand decision to actually update the redrawn pages (from 2011 - original under cut below) to be in full color. The art is pretty much the same as when I'd redrawn it. The details and coloring all of the details... well, this is why I'm posting this a week and a half past when I'd wanted to.

These will take a little longer than expected for a while. Also, I can see where I should have been better with the shading and clean up (always our worst critic,) but I know I'll get better as I keep going with these.

Anyway, enjoy the rereleased start of the rebranded comic Doomed by the Narrative!

I'm not quite ready to post the start of the comic... I've made some additional decisions that means it'll be a little bit more until the first one is ready.

But in the meantime, I want to keep to a regular weekly posting schedule, so here are the sneak previews of the first 3 cast members sketched out for their description pages. These, too, will be reposted once they are complete.

Part of the rebranding/refacing of this comic is going from a purely greyscale format to full color. So... I needed to make a color palette. Also playing around with shading techniques. Turned out even better than I'd expected... WOW!

Ahem... anyway. More tastes of things to come. Plus a sorta Meet the Characters (Though I have even better plans for the REAL Meet the Characters when I get that done. Mwahahahaha!!!
