Just Finished now with 2 submissions, and i think that i have done pretty well given the circumstances with footage! I have learn't a lot about what it takes to colour grade shots and also the type of shot that is needed. If I were to do this project again then i would definitely re-shoot some footage, to get more of a macro effect. I would have to potentially re-visit all of my shots, so that they all have the same effect!
I have really enjoyed this project and i will post the finished promo soon!
Thankfully all of the footage that I got from home was perfect for what i needed, there were a few hiccups but i can defiantly see the light at the end of the tunnel now!!
It turned out that I had to go home and i got some perfect footage!! I'm so glad I did, the only downside is that i only have 3 days to finish all of my work :(
However I am determined to see this project through until the end so I will finish it!!!
Today I went to Cardiff Bay Train Station and also around Cardiff Bay to see if I could get any footage, because there was plenty of abandoned buildings, unfortunately like every place I have been to in Cardiff i couldn't get in, So I am now getting really desperate for some good footage. This may even require me to go home because I know that there are plenty of places to get footage there!
I have also got the title theme as a backup just incase (for what ever reason) I can't use the one I want!
Because my footage is lacking I have decided to get the soundtrack that I am going to use! This sound goes really nicely with the voices that i have to go on top of it!
Hopefully this will inspire me to gain the footage that I need!!!

Unfortunately I have not been getting that much footage recently and my work is suffering from it severely. I hope that I can get some footage soon or my work is really goin to go down the drain!!
This is the first colour grade that I have completed; On the right you can see the before and on the left you can see the after. I personally am really happy with the way that it turned out! I just hope that i can achieve this look on my final piece!
Now that I have some footage I thought that it would be a good idea to get some colour correction test shots, to see what I will be hoping to achieve.
This guy David Lindberg has really inspired me and if i can achieve something along the lines of what he does then i will be happy!!

At this point in time I have been asking people if I can go into buildings that are unused in Cardiff, unfortunately everybody has said no! I am going to go to Cathays Cemetery to get some footage of a graveyard, because i think that it symbolises death quite well?
This is a nuclear bunker in the hills of Cheshire. This would be a really uneasy shot because it would sell what i am trying to get across instantly. This is because of the fact that it is somewhere where people would only go at the end of the world!

I found this great article on the Cardiff Royal Infirmary. This would have been the icing on the cake for my promo, but unfortunately it is already under refurbishment, this means that i will defiantly not be allowed access to it :(
This would have been perfect because not only does rick wake up in a hospital but, there is a huge amount of death orientated around hospitals I would have been able to achieve the abandoned effect with ease if I could get in here!

I like the look of this place because it is very industrial, and it gives a great effect. The best thing about it is the fact that its huge and would supply a ton of shots.
The Gaiety (Spin) bowling place on city road in Cardiff would be a really good place again, because its a place where you would expect people to be.
This is the Llandaf Sub Control. The reason I would love to get some shots in here is because there would be plenty of opportunities for macro shots, and this is the look that i really want to give!
