so lsplash decided to drop a silly little christmas event and inject HUGE lore into it? okay
this subfloor is actually called a 'Vision', separate to Curious Light's domain of the Outdoors, the Rooms, and the Backdoor.
It even has an explanation unlike the other subfloors — a reality where something has been changed. an alternate reality, pretty much. doorsverse is real?
going to the present in the lobby, you'll notice these glitchy effects around the structure. no other subfloor had this effect, not the world lotus, and not ranked/battle mode. Just this event.
now, playing through the event is already interesting enough. i won't delve too deep in regards to ambush, figure and cringle, as i'm mostly interested in glitch. holding a present grants you an arrow towards the gift pile. a glitchy arrow. very intriguing.
now! onto my favourite part. the death quotes.
i kid you not i freaked out when i died and i instead saw the death skull glitch out and the backdrop became all glitchy-like. glitch.
Glitch welcomes you with "HELLO WORLD", a classic phrase in computer programming. everyone usually starts with this phrase, and being able to print this out. a hint to glitch being confirmed as a 'computer program' of some sorts. he even speaks like one. his wording convention, although it follows curious and guiding's where they state the cause of death first, is something like "CAUSE OF DEATH: [FIGURE]". they're very blunt with their explanation on describing the entity and/or how to survive it, but then again they're some sort of program.
now. after their death message is over, you get a chance to get a very interesting quote from glitch.
the backdrop is glitchy, purple, static-y. and sometimes at the very end, depending on the message, the sound stops. the static is gone. the background turns black. and its only white text in front of you. sometimes this text even shakes. before the death message is over and you are returned to the classic 'play again' screen.
i've tried my bets to compile a list of quotes. this isn't THE full list of quotes, these are just the ones i've managed to encounter so far. there are definitely some i'm missing, so i'll see if i can edit this list as i encounter more. but these quotes are super duper interesting. go through them, let me know what you think :}

there are soo many quotes and i know im missing some. and there's so many i can't begin to explain literally ALL of them, because a lot of them i don't even know what he's on about. but !!!
i'm a computer science student. a lot of these quotes link back to computing and programming, so i guess ill be using my degree to good use .....?
"0xDEADDEAD" is a hexadecimal code. the '0x' prefix states this. D E and A are all valid hex, and translating this to denary or ascii pretty much doesn't say anything. probably just a 'cool' way of saying that you're dead.
"504" is the server status error code given when the server does not receive a response in a given timeframe to complete its request, specifically known as '504 Gateway Timeout'. is this Glitch trying to reach someone? or is it us? or is he trying to reach a destination? that would lead onto the next quote,
"ICMP_DEST_UNREACH" — i'll be honest i was a little confused at first until i realised i literally take an internet systems module and i should know this. 'ICMP' refers to the Internet Control Message Protocol, one of the most used internet protocols used to troubleshoot problems on the network. "DEST_UNREACH" likely means destination cannot be reached. this is either when the client is unable to reach a network or if the host is unable to deliver a packet for reasons like protocols not being active. this one stands out the most to me, because Glitch refers to us as a 'vessel', and that 'it needs us'. Glitch has been in our head this whole time, invasively like a parasite and we are its host. only we can see it. so what is it trying to reach? it's already within us. is it an error message where Glitch cannot reach us? or that Glitch cannot reach something or someone?
aside from that, Glitch also just casually drops the 'I AM NO ARCHITECT' confirmation. there goes that popular theory. he's not an architect, but he is similar to them. he can learn, he can design. but he cannot create. and who's he referring to, when he said "THE ONE THAT MADE ME" ? was it an architect? or some higher being?
anyways. these are my first thoughts. ill probably have more ideas when i begin to read other people's theories or if others have collected more quotes that i haven't already listed. but its like 1am here sooo goodnight!! super sorry if any of this is a tad bit incoherent, i needed these thoughts out. thanks for reading my silly ramblings :]
