the first Ring movied tricked me into caring about Sadako, only for the rest of them with the exception of "birthday" to make it clear that we're not supposed to care about her at all, only see her as a generic horror movie monster whose backstory does not matter at all, and has whatever powers the current movie maker wants her to have in whatever scene is happening.

If someone made a crossover horror fangame between Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth and Ringu where Miles Edgeworth has to investigate the cursed videotape case, would you actually be willing to play it without stopping? Because I’m gonna be honest, I don’t know if you’d survive mentally after the reveal that Kay Faraday dies at the end. Like imagine spending the whole game trying to protect her only for Sadako to claim her 7 days later.

but here's the catch:

he's PAINFULLY terrible at it

and every time he says a wack proverb, everyone looks at him like he's just said he loves putting toothpaste in his ramen

no snitching -> iroh wouldve sent his fleet -> unaloq wouldve been distracted, if not wiped the floor with -> korra wouldve had an opening to close the southern portal -> 10,000 years of peace, as the fight b/w raava and vaatu wouldn't have happened this time chief beifong was right about korra letting him off easy. imo, this was more of "you're off team avatar" offense than "breakup with korra" offense.

Just watched both versions of The Ring.

so um apparently, Hideo Nakata (the guy who directed the og "Ringu" movie) ...directed "The Ring Two"... ...no wonder it was so much better than the first movie i won't go AS in depth about this movie like i did for the first, but what i'm really proud of is they went for their own plot this time, which was a gripe i had with the prev movie

not very scary but that's understandable--most Ring movies aren't. however, the tension is THIS movie WAS quite real. esp the bahttub scene at the end.

this movie didn't speedrun through the events this time around, which was good (it actualy felt slow but that's because the people themselves moved slowly--which was also a thing in the first movie but i didn't mention it i dont think)

honestly, even tho it wasn't the best movie i've ever seen...

slightly BETTER than Ringu 2.

6/10. i am again surprised with my rating, but this time in a more positive manner. good job, folks (also samara's creepy movements were very cool. and less horses and more samara lore POG)

I love this animation for him SO MUCH, I love that it shows the suit can malfunction causing it to lock up , he feels more like he's piloting the suit. A lot of his animations are so silly I'll add more as I look through them :3 i should probably state when they appear , this is a wiggle stun animation!

so i just finished watching "the ring (2002)" and uh wow they actually got rid of a decent chunk of the lore and plot...just to make room for sm weird nonsense stuff and horses 💀

no physic parent, no failed science demonstration, no nothing (that last one was very surprising, as the crowd of people is still seen in the cursed tape)

also they got rid of a lot of what the og "ringu (1998)" movie special like they ZOOM through FIVE of the 7 days in the first HALF on the movie, breaking all tension, and erases the effect of sadako/samara being a constant threat.

also they straight up got rid of our well girl's MOTIVE, and that is to oof humanity to get back at them for ruining her and her family's lives.

samara doesn't really...have a motive for making the cursed tape and stuff. shes just evil from birth, it seems. (idk maybe that might be revealed in "the ring two" but eh)

as for samara herself--for her few mins of screentime, i actually rly liked daveigh chase's portrayal of her. very pleasantly surprised. from the creepy movements to the cold dialogue she says in the psych place. also, even tho they were definitely too over-the-top and unnecesary, i rly liked the messed up faces of noah and rachel's niece after samara got to them. rly wished they showed those for the rest of the niece's 3 friendos

overall, this felt like a movie trying to make its own plot but also following another's, resulting in a mish-mash of ideas. and lot of the horror is just fake tension (like the nails comings undone from the floorboards when rachel n noah were checking out the well)

4/10; sadako's dbd menu music is more creepier than this

i genuinely didn't expect me to rate it this low but 💀
