It's amazing what you can find at the side of the road. This is Groundskeeper Willie preparing for the annual Pirbright Scarecrow festival. He's been brightening my journey to work for weeks so I stopped to capture him :)

In the centre of a city it's amazing that you can find such a beautiful area of tranquility. This is Highfields, a park in the centre of Nottingham surrounding Nottingham University. Boating lake, gardens, waterfall, stepping stones, woodland and a mile and a half stroll :). And we also enjoyed a exhibition of maps from the university. Very interesting and totally free :)
