@dot-pxe
good game
One the one hand, I basically agree with a lot of the negative reviews that the Kickstarter campaign for Mina the Hollower was not as forthcoming as it could have been about exactly what kind of game they were making, and the end product does feel like a bit of a bait and switch.
On the other hand, as much as I was expecting a retro Zelda-like, the concept of a full-featured soulslike that adheres to the graphical and technical limitations of the Game Boy Color is objectively hilarious, so even if I'm not particularly into soulslikes as a genre I feel like I have to give them a pass, because what the fuck.

I know some people on my dash that might appreciate this.
hey sorry. can you stand a little further back and we try again
Neutron Stars: Pulsars PULSARS are rapidly rotating NEUTRON STARS that blast out pulses of radiation at regular intervals ranging from seconds to milliseconds. Pulsars have strong magnetic fields that funnel particles along their magnetic poles accelerating them to relativistic speeds, which produces two powerful beams of light, one from each pole. Like all neutron stars, pulsars have quite tightly constrained masses and sizes, most neutron stars have a mass of around 1.5 times that of the sun. One respect in which pulsars vary a lot is their rate of rotation. Some spin at a rate of hundreds of times per second, which NASA says(opens in new tab) is faster than the blades of a household blender. In 2022 astronomers discovered the heaviest neutron star to date with a mass of 2.35 times that of the sun, which is also the fastest-rotating pulsar ever found in the Milky Way. The pulsar designated PSR J0952−0607 is also known as the Black Widow pulsar as it is believed to have reached record-breaking rotational speed and mass by consuming a companion binary star. The Black Widow pulsar rotates at 707 Hertz (HZ), or 707 times per second. This is topped by the pulsar PSR J1748–2446ad which rotates at 716 HZ or 716 times per second.

March 16th, 2025 — Wicks
A wick is a stable, linearly repeating contraption like a row of Pushables. True wicks are wicks which cannot exist on their own, and must be stabilized with fenceposts, otherwise they die. True wicks come from Conway's Game of Life.
This wick I discovered, which I'm calling a "Vortex", is made of Intakers, and must be stabilized with Pullers or Impulsors on every side that the Intakers try to pull from. Because of bias, the pulling forces from the Intakers are unable to pull the fenceposts, preventing them from eating itself.
also these are very laggy with fancy graphics enabled it took like five minutes to render the gif lmao
March 6th, 2026 — Theseus contraptions
Theseus contraptions are contraptions which replace some or all of its cells over time, in analogy to Theseus's Ship. Infectious spaceships like rockets or the glider shown in the GIF above are common examples of these as their movement is determined by such destruction and recreation.
