okay so a little of background

and in my imagination, there’s like a high school thats affiliated with the college that you go to
does that make sense? like
unless you have plans to go somewhere else, everyone from the high school goes to your college. they have the same name and everything but instead of “____ high school” its “____ college”
with that being said, YES the dreamies go to that high school
and yukhei seems to be smart in every subject besides of like, three of them so you tutor him in the morning (since he can never get up and taeyong begged you to be a built in alarm clock for him and the dreamies)
so you all walk to school together
id imagine that the schools are on the same campus or like, across the street from each other

so renjun liked you. he knew it
he just didnt tell anyone
i mean like he was as quiet as a m o u s e about his overwhelming admiration for you
he always thought you were dating mark or yukhei bc you were soooo close with them
but when he found out you weren't he felt those feelings began to develop
but he didnt know how to tell you
because yeah, youre not dating right now, but what if one of them likes you? does that break bro code?

so he began writing down his feelings
bc he couldn't tell anyone that would be like sticking a nail in his coffin
he kept all of these writings in a little notebook, and they were always addressed as if he were writing to you
but he was terrified that one of the boys (Aka chenle the SNOOP) would go into his stuff and find his cheesy writings so he was like
but at the same time he didnt want to dispose because hes really bad with words and his writings are the most accurate form of being able to express his liking for you
and he wanted you to know that he liked you without like. telling you verbally
so he packed one of his writings in a little envelope with your name on the front
and while you were tutoring yukhei in some subject during the morning, he slipped his little envelop into one of your textbooks
into a textbook for a class he knew that you had at the end of the day, so you'd end up putting it in your locker and shit so maybe you'd think someone slid it into your locker
and when you all were walking home from school you were like
“someone wrote me this love letter”
and you seemed so happy about it
because you??? getting a love letter?? (not to say you dont deserve one because youre all beautiful and amazing and wonderful and you deserve all of the love letters in the world muah) youre not used to being shown this type of affection
and renjun loved seeing you happy
even if it meant him never revealing his true feelings to you as him(aka confessing to you irl)
he allowed himself to become your secret admirer
sometimes, he'd find ways to go to the college in between classes
mainly during his lunch hour
since hes a senior at school hes allowed off campus for lunch so he just
and puts notes and cute little things in your locker throughout the day to make you happy
sometimes you write little notes back to him
and hell respond within two days with something really short and stuff so you never suspect its him
you literally had no idea it was him
and at some point he felt like no one would catch on
so renjun leaves his room for TWO(2) seconds
and comes back to chenle reading a note he was in the middle of writing
and chenle was like WOOOAHH YOU LIKE Y/N???
AND RENJUN WAS LIKE NO PSH WHAT WHO-WHA--WHERED U GET THAT IDEA FROM
but chenles like i won't tell dont worry
but it wasn't necessarily the truth
so you all were walking to school one day right
and renjun was talking to jeno about homework or smth
and chenle leans over to you and says “i know who ur secret admirer is”
so you flip for a second but he quickly calms you down so he doesn’t attract anyones attention
“go to your locker during whatever class you have at 12. youll see him”
so he didnt DIRECTLY tell you
luckily its ur best class that u have at that time so u just kinda dipped and ur teacher didnt care
and you walked to your locker
wondering who this secret admirer could be
and when you get to your locker your heart stops pounding
STANDING AT YOUR LOCKER RED HANDED
or rather purple handed because the envelope with the letter in it was purple uwu
and he heard you from down the hallway say his name super softly and he froze
“renjun, are you my secret admirer?”
and he was as red as a tomato i KID YOU NOT
and he quickly looked away and took his little envelope and was like “im sorry if youre disappointed or something”
and youre like three seconds from smacking him
THAT HUANG RENJUN LIKES YOU?
“for someone so smart, you are so stupid”
cue him being HELLA confused
take the envelope and smile at him
“you dont have to be my secret admirer anymore”
and he got so upset because he thought you were rejecting him
but then you TOOK HIS HAND
and that totally turned his mood around
“Well, will you let me be your boyfriend, then?”
