really looking forward to seeing if the CITY animation does subtle rewrites and recontextualizion like Nichijou did and how it will cement how people perceive and remember the characters and story forever

we could be looking at a huge leap in depth and context in the same way the Nichijou animation did for the manga

the masterful refinement and reworking of Nichijou's anime adaptation elevated the series from a niche but vibrant manga to a generation-defining work. even understanding that a spare-no-expense production on the scale of Nichijou's is unlikely to be seen again, it's not impossible that something similar could be accomplished with CITY
