1st Emil Boss Fight - https://youtu.be/97NbAQ2Zt1U ---- Requirements to unlock the 2nd optional boss fight against Emil - Finish the Lunar Tear sidequest - Win against Emil in the first fight (see link above) - Have all weapons and upgraded them to max ---- Warning: If you want to complete all endings, have Emil self-destruct first to get ending Y, then reload and fight him again. Otherwise, if you immediately kill him before he self-destructs, and you don't have ending Y yet, then you might have lost the chance to get it. ---- Once all requirements have been met, Emil should appear inside the commercial complex. Talk to him, and he will run off. Follow him to the desert area. You will find him lying on the ground. Talk to him to initiate the optional boss battle.

Emil's 2nd boss fight is a bit more challenging than the first encounter. There are huge Emil heads rolling around, and you have to kill each one of them. ---- Note: You can do this quest with either 2B, 9S, or A2.

Requirements for fighting Emil: - Complete the Lunar Tear sidequest - Play as 9S ---- Find and talk to Emil first. Buy or just exit his shop and he should tell you that he lives deep underground.

Emil's home is located inside a large pipe in the City Ruins near the resistance camp. Look for a pipe that has lots of water leaking out of it that's large enough for you to get inside. There will be an elevator that will take you down.

After exiting the elevator, just follow the map until you head to what seems to be a dead end but with a place to jump down. Jump and float all the way down and follow the path that will lead you to Emil's home.

Assuming that you've already spoken to Emil, steal his mask and go back to the surface. Talk to Emil once more and he should tell you that there are burglars stealing his things.

Go back down to his home, and there should now be a hackable chest waiting for you. Hack it, and try to leave, only this time Emil is waiting for you.

Emil is a level 99 optional boss, and fighting him can be quite tricky because he bombards you with bouncing bullets in a fairly tight space.

Note: This optional boss fight is a requirement for the 2nd Emil boss fight.

Warning: Doing chapter select will reset this quest if you haven't finished it yet, so you have to find and talk to Emil first (again) before his home becomes accessible. Otherwise, you can enter his home at the bottom.

This video was made before the patch that fixed the gibberish text when hacking. ---- How to hack the bunny in the amusement park in NieR Automata for farming EXP. 1. Play as 9S (of course) 2. Customize a Chip Set with attack boosting chips like weapon attack +. Make sure to equip last resort chips as these increase damage significantly when low on health. 3. Customize another Chip Set and put EXP boosting chips on it (to maximize EXP gain). 4. Equip the Chip Set with the attack boosts. 5. Self-destruct, or you can get hit until you're low on health but I find self-destructing to be a faster method. 6. Wait until 9S recovers a bit then start attacking the bunny statue. 7. Once the bunny starts to move, dash away and heal (for good measure). 8. Hack. 9. Save. 10. Load. 11. Repeat.

The final confrontation between A2 and 9S.

NieR: Automata lets players choose who to pick to control for the final battle. Choosing A2 will have 9S as the final boss.

9S, as a boss, will try to slow you down with Pod programs. He will also spam his hacking ability which can get annoying. Defeat him, and Ending C will be unlocked.

Everything unfolds as 9S meets with the red girls inside the tower. He now learns the entire truth about YoRHa and the war with the machines. On the other hand, A2 also learns some information by gaining access to the tower's archives as she has been given some authority to hack. 9S and A2 were rudely interrupted by Ko-shi and Ro-shi as they were scaling the tower. Still, both bosses ended up bringing the two together for a co-operative battle. 9S starts to go up the tower, but it's not long before he encounters a familiar face... or rather, familiar faces.

Upon entering a large room, 9S encounters a bunch of 2B models. With all the tower keys in hand, 9S begins hacking into what would be the final area for NieR: Automata. However, as soon as he begins the hack, machines started approaching him, making the task very difficult.

Devola and Popola arrive to help as they take care of the rampaging machines while 9S continues the hacking.

Skip to 15:37 for the Operator 210 boss fight Skip to 20:38 for the Auguste boss fight ---- 9S heads to the last resource unit, which is called the god box. In here, the two paths of NieR: Automata's Route C now converge as both protagonists finally meet. However, 9S and A2 are not met without challenges.

9S first battles a familiar face, Operator 210, who has now been fully infected by the logic virus. A machine in Pascal's Village wants a philosophy book to give to Pascal. A2 gripes about the task to get the book but proceed with bringing it anyway. However, things take a turn for the worst as the machines in the village start rampaging and eating each other.

In fear, Pascal brings the children of the village to the Abandoned Factory. It is in this location wherein A2 and Pascal defend the children against the rampaging machines.

While defending, the clever machine hatches a brilliant idea. He takes control of the giant machine, Engels, and starts to decimate the enemy army.
