RWBY 4 Horseman

Like any obsessed fan of a show, I decided to over analyze the crap out of RWBY. I then came to the chess pieces from volume one in which team RWBY gets horses. And there are four of them. Four horsemen? So basically I looked up the horseman, and guess what the colors of the horsemen are? White, Red, Black, and… Pale. But pale is similar to yellow so let’s just go with it. But that’s really when the similarities divide. White has a crown and that’s the only similarity with Weiss. Red has none. Black carries scales so kind of Blake because she’s judge-y but that’s a stretch. So I thought it was a bust. But then I started thinking. What else is there four of? Maidens. And who is the only one who has confirmed maiden powers? Cinder. And she is based off of Cinderella so that fits the crown. The white horsemen came to deceive. Cinder came to deceive. The white horsemen carries a bow. Cinder uses a bow. So what if the four maidens become four henchmen of Salem and they all represent the four horsemen? It’s just a thought. Also sorry if my writing seems spiratic I am trying to just get my thoughts all down before I forget anything.

I think I might have another connection. The second horseman was Red, who wielded a red sword and represented War. Raven might be the second horseman and here’s why. First off, she yields a red sword. That’s the most obvious. But she also is shown to have powers similar to a maiden, as she made a portal in volume 2 that had the same look as the maiden red circle explosion power and the glove portal-type power thing. We don’t know a lot about Raven, but she could possibly be the second maiden. Maybe. We’ll see.

Raven could definitely represent the red horseman because she is the leader of a war tribe. And she has a red long sword. Exactly like the red horseman.

RWBY Ozpin Maiden Transfer

So Volume 4 definitely shed some light on to the Maidens and the complications they implied with the lack of information we had. But from what Qrow says in his talk, and from inductive reasoning based on clues, I have come to a conclusion that might interest you.

I think that Maiden’s transfer power how Ozpin is with Oscar. This means that Ozpin is dead, but he passed on his power. Let’s talk about the causes and effects of this claim.

1) Qrow said that the “souls” combine of the new and old maiden. This could be as a kind of tutorial for new maidens, until the old eventually dies. This effect could be identical to Ozpin in Oscar. However, this implies that Ozpin has the powers of, or similar to, that of a Maiden. Thus, as many people have claimed and as is generally accepted, Oz(like the wizard)pin is the wizard from the maidens. But not THE wizard. But the next wizard.

2) Ozpin has the wizard power, but isn’t the original wizard. How come the original wizard couldn’t have passed his remaining power/knowledge on as well as the maidens. It is not only possible, but very likely. Ozpin probably was the latest wizard, but died. And now it goes to Oscar. This means that Ozpin is a temporary (or permanent) mind in Oscar. This means that this form of transfer is probably how Maidens transfer to others.

3) As I have discussed in a separate theory, this probably applies to Cinder. Maybe she has Amber’s soul in her mind, telling her she is wrong and shouldn’t be evil, and that’s why she is so quiet. It could very well be.

4) This is a different point outside of the transfers, but I felt it too short to make it it’s own post, plus it applies to Ozpin. I believe the reason Ozpin claims the tale of the two brothers is true, is because the wizard is the eldest brother. I think it makes logical sense, as the four maidens powers together (which the wizard originally had) are strong enough to change and shape the entire world.

I'm sure you've all heard of the golden rule: treat others the way you want to be treated. But what about the golden ratio rule? This starts out as a reaction to the golden rule: if they disrespect you with 1, you equally send back 1. But if they escalate to 2, you go 3. They go 5, you go 8. They go to 13, you bring it to 21, and so on and so forth.

RWBY Lunar Theory

So for those of you that are not familiar, it is a confirmed fact that the songs of RWBY have hidden information about things we don’t know about, i.e. songs from season one could have information about season nine for all we know about. Thus it is important to notice recurring details and link them back to the shows themes in order to try and make connections and predict what happens next. An example can be seen in Red Like Roses II, Summer talks about “This bedtime story ends with misery ever after/The pages are torn, and there's no final chapter” which is similar to the intro of Volume 4; they both talk about it not being a fairy tale anymore. Despite the lack of predictions that can be made from this connection, one big recurring theme I would like to talk about today is the moon. Despite the countless theories on the moon’s relevance, both in the several references in song, and in the significance of its shape in the show, I would like to take an approach that is similar to many before, but with my own thoughts and evidence behind it. So without delay, here we go:

1) The first claim I am making is that the Moon in RWBY represents Summer Rose. To many of you, this is not a very new statement, but maybe my evidence and commentary will be different, so don’t count me off for no originality. This statement has been made before, and for good reason, so I won’t go into too much detail, as it is merely a stepping stone for this theory. First off all, many times in RWBY, the scene with Summer’s gravestone have panned toward the moon before cutting into the next frame or scene. But the songs shed light onto this claim further. Most notable of these references is in Die, in which the “moon watched safely from above,” as in the idea that the moon used to watch over Ruby and Yang but no longer does (*hint hint* because she died). I won’t get into the logistics of this theory, as dozens of click-baiting theorists have run this claim dry, so if you really need further detail or convincing, look it up. Anyway, moving on.

2) The Second claim being made is that the moon is the origin of dust. Watch the very first minute plus a little bit of the very first episode of RWBY, and when Salem starts talking about dust, the background darkens, as the white crystal rises, almost as if the background was the sky and the crystal was the moon. But then after it rises into the sky, the dust crystal falls to mankind. The crystal literally falls to man. This is the very first moments of RWBY; EVERY DETAIL, every movement and choice, was intentional. THEN, when Salem says that “even the most brilliant flames flicker and die” and you assume she was talking about civilization and dust, as that’s what she was talking about prior, but it cuts directly to the moon from the middle of that statement. What if both of these are correct? What if she was talking about the moon, and dust, because they are the same thing? I know if sounds crazy, but think about why the moon is shattered? Maybe because the good brother from Qrow’s story, or the wizard, or whoever you want to believe shattered the moon, gave them dust. I definitely think its plausible, and would like to hear any alternatives.

3) This point is unrelated to the theory, but relevant to the moon in RWBY, but basically, unlike our moon, the RWBY moon rotates independently around its own axis along with revolutions around Remnant, so there are parts when the shattered part will be visible, but there is also times, as seen in parts of the show, when only the intact part is shown and the moon looks full. This can be seen at just after minute three in episode three part two of season one, the moon from the beginning of volume one’s song, (also evidence to support moon represents Summer), and a couple more places. There are also instances of partial destruction, such as in White trailer. This is also a part of how the moon phases work in Remnant. Ultimately, the moon phases could play a role in symbolism, as in there is some commonality between full moon phases, but I am yet to find it. Re-member Pyrrha

So in all the hype of team RNJR and the transition to Haven, many people have not taken the time to think out the logistics of team RNJR.

1) Team RWBY will reunite eventually, hopefully soon: This means that Team RNJR will be split up.

2) If RNJR splits up, JNPR will have an empty slot: Whoch means it’s time to Re-member (and remember Pyrrha) and they will get a new member to their team.

3) The new member will likely be a new main character to the story: (maybe a female character to fill the place with Jaune and Pyrrha)

I know it sucks to think about, but Pyrrha will have to be replaced eventually. So pay close attention to whoever they meet in Haven.

Yeah, I always wonder what’s going to happen to JN_R once RWBY gets back together. I haven’t seen much discussion about the topic. I guess everyone was so focused on the “JNPR is going to die” theory (just because they’re based on characters who die) or fearing that someone is going to die at the end of V4 & didn’t think about it.

Yeah. I think that the story is too invested in these characters for them to kill JNPR, at least in the foreseeable future. Pyrrha and Penny’s deaths, although tragic, were not detrimental to the story, and in fact, furthered the plot. But killed Ren, Nora, or Jaune would just, in my opinion, take away from the story and just feel like the writers are just killing people to have a forced emotional impact. I hope, for the new member of JNPR, to have a really flirty female with Jaune. I think it would be funny, and it would be a foil to the “unflirtyness” of Pyrrha (I know that’s not a word, but go with it please). If anyone has an ideas for who or what they want the new character to be, please include it so. Thank you guys for the support.

RWBY Ruby's true father?!

I have been debating this theory for a while but it wasn’t until mid season 4 that I finally have the grounds to make this an actual theory. Basically the theory goes that Qrow is actually the father of Ruby, and not Taiyang. Here’s my reasoning:

1) Ruby isn’t like Taiyang: Ruby isn’t like her father at all, which is probably the weakest piece of evidence, but hear me out. Yang is a lot like her father and her mother, which makes sense due to the fact that she is their child. Yet Taiyang and Ruby don’t track looks wise or appearance wise. Ruby is just told she is Yang’s half sister. We don’t get to see Summer except in a picture, but we see Qrow a lot. And they both act very similar and are similar enough appearance wise. But this is nowhere near enough. Which brings us to point two.

2) Taiyang+Summer doesn’t track: Taiyang and Summer don’t track as a couple. Hold on as I explain from the beginning. Taiyang probably met Raven at around the same time as Summer; at the formation of Team STRQ. So let’s say Taiyang and Raven have a thing and they have Yang. And then Raven leaves Taiyang. Doesn’t die. She leaves. And we know that Taiyang knows she’s alive and not dead. So why would Taiyang magically then go to Summer two years later and they have a kid. It would be one thing if they didn’t know each other prior, but they did. It doesn’t seem likely that Taiyang would not have feelings for Summer and then magically have enough two years later to have Ruby. It is possible yes, but plausible no. And that’s where I was at the end of season three. I had one large hole in my story. Why would Qrow not raise Ruby as his own? It had no probable explanation. That is until volume 4 episode 8. Qrow’ semblance.

3) Qrow’s semblance: Qrow has the semblance of misfortune. We see in the fight in episode 7 of volume 4 that this semblance isn’t a choice but rather a permanent effect. Ruby is almost hit by falling rubble. Qrow says it’s best if he stays to the sidelines. Even for those he loves. Enter Uncle Qrow for Ruby. Qrow knows it would be dangerous to stay with Summer and Ruby. So he sticks Ruby at his sister’s family and plays Uncle on the sidelines. Makes sense right. Explains why he and Ruby are so similar beyond him being a not blood related Uncle. His mumbling in episode 9 about an argument with Taiyang is probably an argument about Ruby or less likely Summer. We’ll just have to see.

So I recently discovered that several of the creators and writers and workers of the show have denied the Qrow is Ruby’s father theory, including Monty himself. I have no confirmation of the validity of these claims and whether or not these denials have been true, but, assuming they are, I would like to address how the theory can still hold true. I enter into evidence Star Trek: Into Darkness. During the pre-release of this movie, J.J. Abrams claimed that Benedict Cumberbatch was not Khan. These claims however turned out to be false. Maybe creators and workers lie, intentionally, in order to throw people of their tracks. I feel the evidence and the structure behind Qrow being Ruby’s father makes too much sense and goes together too well not to be true, at least in my mind.

So what do you guys think? Do you think the theory has ground to stand on, or is Monty and many other’s words to be held true with out a grain of salt?

Bad pun in the title aside, It like to preface this pun by saying this theory will branch into two possible outcomes of what I believe will come of Cinder and her squad (Emerald and Mercury).

First thing to note about our new information in volume 4 is that Cinder does not fit with the rest of the Salem crew. She is ostracized among them and is only protected but Salem, who herself even scorns Cinder. Cinder is taken back and disgusted by her “fellow” bad guys. She does not fit in with them. From what can be see with Cinder’s interactions with Salem, it seems that Cinder is to Salem, as Emerald is to Cinder. For those that haven’t made the connection, Emerald isn’t really a bad guy. Not really. She starts off as a thief who just wants somewhere to be a part off. Many people have made the claim that Emerald will turn good, after she sees that the bad guys are bad, WAY beyond stealing things. But from what I have seen of volume 4 Cinder is that she isn’t this all confident, pure evil motive, deceptive bad guy we have seen in the past seasons. To me, Cinder was probably in a similar situation to Emerald with Salem, as in Salem took Cinder in when she had nowhere to go. I could be completely wrong, but as of episode 11 of volume 4, we have almost nothing on Cinder outside of a few scenes here and there. So from her there are, to me, two possibilities as to what can happen for Cinder: 1) She turns good and joins up with RWBY squad, or independently rebels, regardless she goes against Cinder. She could die, so could not, doesn’t matter for this possibility. Only matter did that she and Emerald go good. Emerald could even spark it in Cinder. 2) Cinder is tempted, but ultimately choices the wrong side. Cinder and Emerald are in similar circumstances, and I think they could have one person, i.e. Emerald, turn good, and one person, i.e. Cinder stay bad.

Okay. A few additions and corrections. I don’t think Cinder cares enough about Emerald for the possibility of Emerald leaving sway Cinder. But Emerald is loyal to Cinder enough to definitely sway Emerald. 

Secondly, the Maiden power switching could be similar to Ozpin power switch. I will go into detail for about this in another theory, but basically I think when a Maiden power moves on, the old maiden is around long enough to show the new one the ropes, similar to Ozpin with Oscar right now. So could the autumn Maiden be swaying Cinder from the dark. Maybe.

Four horsemen? So basically I looked up the horseman, and guess what the colors of the horsemen are? White, Red, Black, and… Pale. But pale is similar to yellow so let’s just go with it. But that’s really when the similarities divide. White has a crown and that’s the only similarity with Weiss. Red has none. Black carries scales so kind of Blake because she’s judge-y but that’s a stretch. So I thought it was a bust. But then I started thinking. What else is there four of? Maidens. And who is the only one who has confirmed maiden powers? Cinder. And she is based off of Cinderella so that fits the crown. The white horsemen came to deceive. Cinder came to deceive. The white horsemen carries a bow. Cinder uses a bow. So what if the four maidens become four henchmen of Salem and they all represent the four horsemen? It’s just a thought. Also sorry if my writing seems spiratic I am trying to just get my thoughts all down before I forget anything.

I think I might have another connection. The second horseman was Red, who wielded a red sword and represented War. Raven might be the second horseman and here's why. First off, she yields a red sword. That's the most obvious. But she also is shown to have powers similar to a maiden, as she made a portal in volume 2 that had the same look as the maiden red circle explosion power and the glove portal-type power thing. We don't know a lot about Raven, but she could possibly be the second maiden. Maybe. We'll see.

Like any obsessed fan of a show, I decided to over analyze the crap out of RWBY. I then came to the chess pieces from volume one in which team RWBY gets horses. And there are four of them.
