'Birds of Paradise' Tribute ➰ I've been pretty inspired lately by #FrankStella and his retrospective at the #Whitney. I am somewhere stuck between his early and late work because I think design should be organized objectively but there needs to be spontaneity and flow that makes it intriguing and worth exploring.

A cover for The Trial by Kafka that I made out of construction paper and yarn. The needlepoint is a metaphor for the random connections K unravels when investigating the reason behind his trial.

The Trial deals with the nightmare potential of bureaucracy and how the law is only upheld by the people who perpetuate it.

A Preview of the book cover I am making for Madame Bovary by Flaubert. It’s a beautifully written book. I needlepointed this which took forever, but I really begun to understand why Emma Bovary was so discontent with her life given to her as a woman in mid 1800s. #fuckthepatriarchy

March 30th is National Doctors Day! So here is a google doodle to celebrate ObamaCare 5th year and your lollypop supplier.

I’m beginning a daily project (it might be every other day), but it is obviously less time consuming (aka more boring) than the drop caps from february. Not quite sure how long I will do it for.

Daily Drop Cap Challenge– March 2015– Day 26!!!

Z marks the end of this project, so why not throw a party. 

In all seriousness, I really enjoyed doing this project and getting feedback for all y’all. I think i’ve extended my visual vocabulary quite a bit by just executing all the time. I did get lazy in the middle part, but i’m glad i stuck it out till the bitter end. I do feel an overwhelming sense of emptiness now of what I should do next. Maybe just do the whole thing over again.
