Beauty of a day with the crew. @emeraldlakelodge a dream, per usual. #seizetherockies #crmr (at Emerald Lake Lodge, BC)
I'm told this little guy is a Clark's Nutcracker. He was less interested in our trail mix and pretty focused on Kelly's cup of Earl Gray. Killer rainy hike to the teahouse this afternoon. (at The Plain of Six Glaciers Tea House)
Quick pass through the Okanagan on the trek back from Seattle. Fortunately, Mission Hill was on point for us last night. (at Mission Hill Winery)
Epic performance from the Canadian Forces' Snowbirds to close #wingsoverspringbank. Thanks to all who came out to enjoy the show! #getinverted (at Wings Over Springbank)

One year ago today, my application for Canadian permanent residency was officially accepted by Immigration Canada.
One month ago, Kelly and I were notified that my application was accepted.
The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind. Packing everything I could into the car, Kelly and I road-tripped over Labor Day weekend from Boise to Calgary, crossing the border to mark my ‘landing’ in Canada and the official start of my residency in this country.
I've spent as much time as possible with Kelly in Calgary during this process, but now for the first time in our marriage, Kelly and I can finally live in the same city. We are even more excited than one may expect after the 11 month process and the trials that came with it.
The flip side of moving to Calgary is officially leaving Boise.
I love Boise. I love the people, the community, the proximity to the outdoors, and a hundred other reasons itemized in those Best Places to Live lists that Boise is included in regularly. Even at the beginning of this unbelievably exciting next chapter, I miss Boise and its people very much.
Red Sky. I have rewritten this paragraph a dozen times, so I will remain as brief as possible. I could write tomes about my brilliant friends and colleagues at Red Sky. Individually, you are each a force; versatile, creative, articulate communication experts I had the privilege of learning from and collaborating with every day. As a group, I was and continue to be floored by the quality of work, commitment to community, tenacity and passion that define the team. I am grateful to have been a piece of that powerhouse and lucky to part only in a professional capacity having made what I know to be enduring friendships.
Now that I am settling in to living in Calgary full-time, I am in search of my next professional challenge. If you know of Canadian companies doing cool things with technology and are hiring in marketing/PR, let me know!
We could not possibly thank our families and friends enough for their support through the many challenges the immigration process presented, so again, thank you all very dearly.
Stay in touch, Boise! You know how to reach me and you’d better believe I’ll be dropping in to raise a glass with you again soon.
Much love!
Had a chance to meet Lord Stanley's cup today at @travelalberta. Think we should attach this to the permanent residency application as proof of familiarity with Canadian culture, @mmekcs? (at Travel Alberta)

We went to see The Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen this afternoon. So did a grad party of costumed 18 year olds. #CPH (at The Little Mermaid (statue))
