Imagine Me & You (2005) dir. Ol Parker
"I fucking hate you" she whispered, as she came for the 10th time on your hands
CLOSED STARTER for @downbcd PLOT: this?? vacation not-quite-romance years ago?? MUSE: michelle "chelle" tesfaye, 44, she/they, queer, bakery owner
IT FELT LIKE A BREAK WAS CONSTANTLY LINGERING ON THE BACK BURNER. there was just always something that came up ⏤ another reason, another excuse to put it off. it was pushed and pushed and pushed until months turned into years, and years turned into one of her employees walking in to find her asleep at the counter. they knew it wasn't an option at that point, that none of their employees would let her step foot inside the building until she got some rest. and since chelle knew that sitting around at home was not an option (she had access to an oven there ⏤ was she supposed to not use it?) taking a trip was the only other option. and since chelle was too tired to put too much thought (or effort) into planning, it only made sense to go somewhere they had already been before.
but right away she hits her first road block. what is she supposed to do here? the crowd is much younger and engaging in the kind of fun that would have them on their ass for the rest of their trip ⏤ and there isn't much else to do outside of shop and drink or fall asleep on the beach. maybe they should have put a little more effort into all of ⏤ there's a moment where her brain just short circuits, catching sight of them across the bar. what are the chances? chelle hopes she's not being too weird or too obvious but when their eyes meet, she doesn't care anymore. before they can stop it, they're nodding them over. it isn't until they start to move toward them that there's a flash of regret. a lot can change over the years. chelle wonders if they'll like who they are now. "it's been a minute," the smile starts slow, grows with each second, "it's treated you well, though."
rebecca shouldn't be at this bar, she should be at home trying to get her players the best deals and answer all of her emails. she loved her work, she loved always being on the road, arguing with some of the world's famous companies, trying to make sure her clients get the best deals. but she was also exhausted. her most famous player was in the nba finals, her phone was blowing up, she just wanted the world to freeze. she wanted to be able to turn on the tv or go on social media without being reminded of work. she loved what she did, but it was lonely. travelling all the time and coming home to a quiet apartment. so she slammed her laptop shut, shut her phone off, and made her way to the local bar.
what she didn't expect, was to catch the eyes of michelle. the one person who becca compared every date to. the one person who held becca's heart even after all these years. the two hadn't spoken in years; it was almost like fate that rebecca decided to make her way to the bar and becca normally didn't believe in that kind of stuff. when chelle nodded for her to come over, she sipped her white wine, she needed to feel in her bones before she had the courage to make her way there. "it has." she answered, slipping into the bar stool next to them. "why thank you," she took another long sip. this was the person who used to know her better than she knew herself, why did it feel like they were now a stranger. "it has treated you as well." becca sighed, this shouldn't be this hard. "how has...life been?" she joked, swirling her wine around in her cup. "what are you doing here?" becca had closed the chapter when it came to chelle, she thought she would never see her again. now that they were sitting right next to each other, becca's old feelings all came surfacing back.
andy had gotten very used to what it felt like when someone wasn't really trying. she'd had all kinds of meaningless, purposeless, emotionless sex in her life. but not with ryan. and the sudden hesitation in the other woman's presence felt loud and obvious. kissing her for another second, andy stopped herself this time, backing away from the kiss. every alarm bell in her body was screaming that somehow ryan had changed her mind, that this wasn't fun for anymore, that she didn't want her anymore. casual or not. "no, no something's wrong. you're being different. what is it?"
ryan shook her head. she didn't know how to express her feelings. she was used to working undercover for so long, she was better at acting. at pretending. but she didn't want to do that with andy, she was so sick of pretending. she had real feelings for her, but she was scared, and ryan wasn't scared of much. but a broken heart scared her more than anything. "no, nothing is wrong, i promise." ryan grabbed andy's hands, softly pulling her back against her body. "i just like what this is." she picked up their interlocked hands. "i like what we're doing, what we have." the blonde wanted to say so much more. ryan leaned back in, kissing her deeply. what she really wanted to do was scream out that somewhere all their late nights, she fell in love.
lisbeth tried not to be overly clincial with her clients, it just came out sometimes, sounding robotic from what she's been told.''half now and the other half later, wanna make sure you're satisfied first.''
aisling's eyebrow raised. "by the looks of it, i'm sure i'll be very satisfied," she muttered, eyes trailed over lisbeth's features. "i'll be honest, i've never done anything like this before." the brunette stepped closer to lisbeth, closing some of the gap between them.
closed starter for @downbcd !
"i have a lot to make up for, don't i?" finally they were together again. murphy didn't have to worry about being a cheater on top of being a fucking terrible person. they had come as soon as they were able to, and still smelled like the club they had just performed in. but they hadn't stuck around after their set like they usually would, making to hesitation to show up at gabi's place. murphy barely gave her a chance to catch her breath, scooping her up and laying her across the kitchen table. there was no time to usher the two to the bedroom; murphy needed her now. "tell me what you missed the most," they murmured in between hot kisses to her neck whilst they shed themselves of their blazer.
gabi inhaled murphy's usual scent of clubs and bars. it made her body go weak when she realized that they immediately came to her, that they came home. "yeah, i'd say you do," gabi joked, her brown eyes looked up at them, her body shivered against the cool of her table. "god, i missed you." gabi admitted. she was sick of arguring, sick of pretending she didn't miss them, didn't love them. murphy was the person gabi wanted, the person she knew she was meant to be with. that didn't mean she wasn't hurt, that she didn't have a wall up, but she wasn't going to let that wall get in the way of her happiness. murphy made her happy, they could figure out the logistics later. right now, she needed their touch, it had been way too long. "my needs haven't changed, you're the only person i've been with who knows my body the best." she confessed with a tilt of her neck. "i just need you to touch me, i just need you." she leaned up and kissed them passionately, her tongue intertwing with theirs. her body immediately warmed up as their lips pressed together. "take me right here on this table." she muttered between passionate kisses.
“we both recently broke up with our bf/gf on bad terms so we decided that we were gonna pretend that we’re dating to make them jealous, so we regularly get drunk together and make out at the parties they’re at too and one night we even end up fucking and we’re kinda starting to dig each other but then our exes are starting to come back to us and shit gets even more complicated.” give it to me please, thank you
the attention from sadie felt so good. it boosted her ego in just about every way. her tongue darts out to wet her lips, the gloss there long-faded, but leaving a plum-colored stain behind.
maeve can't help the little laugh that falls from her lips. it's quiet, almost just a breath even. she watches as she takes a drink of her water, plush lips now damp, and she wonders if they're as soft as they look. her head tilts and she smiles. "thank you, sadie," she says and holds her gaze, hoping it keeps the blush on her cheeks for a little longer. "you can borrow it sometime. i think it'd look really good on your floor." the line is cheesy, something she wouldn't normally say, but something tells her it'll land with the other woman perfectly.
sadie's lips couldn't help but form into a small smile. "that was...original," she joked, but the thought of the two women's clothes mixed on her bedroom floor made her cheeks burn that much more. the blonde shifted in her seat as she treaded carefully with her next words. "i mean, you know my apartment is only a block away." her eyebrow raised. "we could go there now? see how good our clothes look on my bedroom floor?" she didn't know where her boldness came from, but she wasn't mad at it. the two were friends for a long time, they had never crossed that physical line. it was pretty evident sadie was attracted to maeve, but she was too shy to act on it. but now that she was caught staring directly at maeve's breast, sadie didn't have anything to lose.
"or we could stay here," she shrugged, trying to play it cool. "whatever you want." her eyes looked directly into maeve's, her lips formed into a more confident smirk.
@downbcd liked for a starter from here
"i'm so sorry i crashed on your couch," she said after she finished yawning. sloane barely remembered even showing up at their place. everything had been a blur after an intense shift at the clinic. she had been surprised when she woke up," and i promise that i will not show up in the middle of the night ever again only to i'm guessing pass out while we were in the middle of talking."
sadie turned from her counter when she heard the other's voice. she placed two cups of coffee on the counter and slid one over to sloane. "you don't have to apologize sloane," sadie stirred her cup inside of her mug. "it was nice that you came over." she admitted, eyes staring down at her coffee. "it was also nice to just talk all night like old times. but i feel like we have to address the elephant in the room." sadie inhaled, eyes still looking down. "why did you come here? of all places?"

while josie was trying to play the part of the cool and unbothered ex, being so close to sawyer but feeling so far was tearing her up inside. so when the blonde admitted missing her, josie's walls instantly lowered a bit, not taking long to tell her the same. it was true though and god she hated it. she still couldn't wrap her mind around where they went wrong, what caused the break up and literally running into her like this when they were the only ones home wasn't helping her in her quest to try and move on. " could've fooled me... " the bite in her tone holds no real weight, lips formed into a set pout that she wishes sawyer would kiss off her face right about now. holding the towel tighter to her body, she realizes she's still barely dressed, droplets of water from her damp hair cascading down her shoulders under the dim light in the hallway. " i didn't think he would, he's been trying to hookup with jamie for weeks. " the tension between them grows thicker now, the realization heavy that it would only be them for the rest of the night if sawyer decides to stay. " well, i wasn't planning on going to bed anytime soon if you want to stay and hang out. " there's slight hopefulness to her tone, tilting her head to the side as she eyes the other. " we could talk, or whatever. "
sawyer nodded in response to her brother wanting to get with jamie. she didn't want to stand there talking about josie's brother and who he was hooking up. she wanted to talk to josie and find out if she was with someone else. sawyer knew she had no right to ask or even care anymore, she lost those privileges when she ended things with the brunette. but that didn't mean the thoughts didn't enter in her mind as josie stood there in her towel in the middle of the night. "i could stay for a bit," she shrugged, trying to act nonchalant about it even though her beating heart said otherwise. her stomach twisted when josie said they could talk or whatever, she didn't want to get her hopes up but she would take what she could get. she missed josie and she didn't realize how much until right now. "uh yeah, we could catch up." the blonde made her way down the hall into the other's bedroom just like she had done so many times before. "listen josie," sawyer shut the door for privacy. even though it was pretty evident her brother would not be coming back any time soon or at all. "i miss you." that's not what she wanted to say, she planned to say a whole lot more. but she didn't know where to start, so she started with how she truly felt. she did miss josie. "i know i have no right saying that to you, i'm sure you're happy with someone new but i couldn't leave here tonight without saying that to you."

"we—we can't just pretend that night didn't happen," marnie whispers, swallowing heavily as she paces across the hotel room floor. every time she looks at her fiancé now, guilt claws at her throat—but that's not even the worst part. "i'm supposed to be excited to marry him, and instead i can't stop thinking about you."
georgia was tying her heels back on her feet when she looked up at her best friend. "marnie, i'm not just pretending it didn't happen," the brunette admitted, standing up. she grabbed marnie's arms gently to get her to stop pacing. "marnie, please." her heart skipped a beat when she heard marnie say she can't stop thinking about her. george didn't know how to handle that. this wasn't the first time the pair had hooked up. "i thought..." george swallowed. "i didn't know how much this would freak you out, we would hook up in college like it was no big deal," george sighed. "i didn't mean for this to happen, i'm sorry."

smutty andy for @downbcd
"what--" with dark, hooded eyes, andy looks up at them. she's shaky with desire, consumed by their scent and their touch and yet... "why are you stopping?"
ryan's hands dropped from the other's waist, her heart beating fast. "no, i..." she stopped. she wasn't sure how to express her actual feelings for the other woman. "nothing, i didn't mean to stop." she leaned back in and pressed her lips against hers.
