Don't trust the one who blindly follows, trust the one who doubts and still follows.
Don't let your polticial party determine your political views and morals.
People are like ceramic. One of the hardest materials known, but shatter when pressured in the wrong way.
Don't half ass anything. You only get a half ass outcome and half ass happiness. You gotta full ass it to get that full ass outcome.
Chances are, you are not that smart. And that's OK. You don't need to be the brightest, fastest, strongest, bravest, or richest person alive. You just have to be good enough for yourself, and thats the only measurement you should go by. If a day goes by and you feel unfulfilled, ask yourself: Is that the best I can do? If it is the best you can do, then that's the best you can do. If it is not the best you can do, DO BETTER! You cant just wait around and let life get better by itself. Go out and take what you want, you dont need to be perfect.
If you are certain in your argument, you are wrong. There are no certainties, there is no correct. If you admit you are wrong, you are closer to finding the truth than anyone else.
Stop caring about what other people have to say about you. I know this is easier said than done but think to yourself: Who the FUCK are they anyways?
Why does this person get to choose if you are happy or sad today? No one can make you feel anything.
The key to minimize being disappointed by people is to expect people to let you down. Expect the bare minimum out of that person and you cannot be disappointed.
Don't expect someone to be truthful, expect them to lie and be happy when they do tell the truth.
Don't expect someone to get an A on a test, expect an F and be happy they got a C.
Don't expect someone to treat you with respect, expect them to treat you like shit.
You should not show that you expect nothing from that person. Just because you expect someone to treat you with no respect, doesn't mean you should treat them with no respect. All this does is ensure they will be at the bare minimum standard.
This mindset is so you don't get let down by those you just met. Make them earn your praise, not deserve it.
There are three levels of mastery:
Beginner: The activity is fluid, you do what you want, when you want without a care for the meta or rules.
Intermediate: You follow a strict plan, very rigid. You understand how it works and only do what you know works. This class beats beginner because they know what they are doing.
Expert: This goes back to fluid. Rather than following a rigid start to end plan, you choose what to do in the moment. This class beats intermediate because they know what they are doing and are unpredictable.
This especially applies to board games (chess) and videogames (CSGO and Rocket League). I would assume this also works for abstract math and science, though i don't know enough about that to make a judgment.
This is supposed to be overly simplified,, so keep that in mind. Please let me know if there is anything I overlooked.
I post whatever comes into my head. I do not purposely steal or copy other peoples' ideas, I may have heard it in the past and forgot that I did. I post ideas and general questions, not artwork or pictures.
