Event run by @jackson-imbecille, @booty-mctooty, and a certain ghostly weatherman.
Text written by Jackson, only minorly edited from last year. No edits were made as a response to recent fandom events.
I was first drawn to this fandom by the crossovers and spent the first four years of my time here reading exclusively crossovers. Over the past few years though, I have noticed that the variety of different crossovers in the Danny Phantom fandom has dwindled to make way for Batfam crossovers.
While I love that people enjoy the Batfam crossovers, it is sad to see the others almost disappear. To combat this, we've organized this event to try to bring back the variety that was seen here in the 2010s and before, if only temporarily.
As said in the calendar, fandoms can be randomly selected through this picker wheel, or writers, artists, and other creatives can choose fandoms themselves.
Challenge yourself by pairing tropes with fandoms they aren't commonly seen in, give the tropes an interesting new meaning, or create something more familiar.
Fill up your work with all the tropes and fun little writing quirks you used to see with older crossovers, or play it completely straight. Make a crossover with a popular fandom, a niche one, a new one, an old one, the choice is yours! have fun with it.
We look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. Tag your posts with #dpcaw25 or @ this blog and we'll try to reblog them all.
The event is hosted by @dp-crossover-angst-week-event From August 4 - 10! For more details go check out their pins.
Anyway I will be posting one fic every day to my AO3. (Check the Masterpost for those links)
For me:
Monday August 4 - Long Lost Relative(s): The Addams Family [Here we go!]
Death is unavoidable, Danny was pretty much the expert for that. It wasn't fair when the only chance he got to save his family wasn't even permanent. He only delayed the inevitable. No family he and he didn't want to go to Vlad. lucky for him a relative crashed the funeral.
Tuesday August 5 - Cornered: Avengers [Day 2]
The Avengers get called to a ghost town, a literal ghost town. There was no one for miles and they almost assume they found a nuclear test site. Well that was until Natasha managed to find a little girl wondering the streets not speaking and acting like a cat.
Wednesday August 6 - No Way Home: Teen Titans [Day 3]
Raven hates cults. If people want to know about supernatural things they can just study the occult. But no People want to sale there souls for 5 minutes.
Thursday August 7 - Bad Parent(s): Rise of the Guardians [Day 4]
Seeing is believing they say. There are things out in the world that people can't see unless they full believe in it. It could be right next to them but they don't see it because they don't think something like that could exist.
Even if it did exist it develops a rational emotion that all humans have. Fear. All living creatures had form of fear, fear can be healthy in small doses after all. But there was one boy that didn't have fear and honestly it was quite concerning.
Friday August 8 - Clone: Percy Jackson [Day 5]
One hard night of delivery for two separate women. Three boys were born and only 1 act survive to live up to his name. As if it was a miracle one boy under mysterious circumstances came back to life. It wasn't raining at first but once he was breathing again it rained heavily.
Saturday August 9 - "Can't be Trusted": Gravity Falls [Day 6]
Getting shipped away from everything you know for the summer with an uncle that only needs you for free labor was not how Dipper expected his summer to go. Though turns out they weren't the only ones visiting Gravity Falls. The place was clearly a magnet for weirdos.
Sunday August 10 - Hunted: Supernatural [Day 7]
Hunters becomes the hunted. But who's the hunter in this scenario?
[ @dp-crossover-angst-week-event Day 3 : No way home ]
Gokuto Jihen AU time wahooo~
It's very niche pixel game from 2010s, the english title is "Underworld Capital Incident"
AU/crossover where Danny died died and wakes up in the Underworld Capital in Japan tm, no where close to Amity Park and also lost all his memories. The gokusotsu captain picks him up and let him helps out while he try to remember
In the game, there's a deceased one who are causing harm and haunts an old building and if they collect too much karma, they could turn corrupted, so some recruits were sent out to deal with that. Perfect spot for Danny human side to pops up and begging Phantom to go back home, not that either of them can remember where home is
Strange things are kinda his whole deal. So Danny does as he’s been told not to — he waits until everyone’s dead asleep, fluffs up his pillows and blanket, and sneaks out into the back yard. A smothered and weak flash of light has him airborne and high above the sleepy outskirts between breaths.
Meridiana proper towers in the distance, rolling hill just rising up and up.
“An hour, tops,” he tells himself, and takes off.
It’s near the very end of those sixty minutes when something happens.
he's like a jelly filled donut...

Summary:
Danny's warned off wandering Meridiana at night, but. Well. You know how it goes.
(Or, the one where most of Von Reicther's Series of Creation look like humans, and sometimes ghosts don't look or feel all that different either. Oops.)
As the three hunters worked together, they finally caught the secret trio. With their powers unable to use, the trio were at the mercy of the hunters. Will the trio find a way to break free and get away?
(Probably not very angsty but that's all. Just an art. No continuation under the cut. It's me rambling)
Although Booray is more like a hunter character, Mcfist is more of a antagonist throughout the rc9gn series. He either tried to catch or destroy the Ninja, close enough.
Also here's a draft of an abandoned idea for day 6. This one is not angsty but ambiguously scary and it focuses too much on Danny. I think the trio should be pretty much even in a crossover.
Danny can feel one of them is not him. Should Danny ignore it and absorb all the duplicate?
I saw lots of people wrote fanfics for the event. Yet I didn't come up with a good angsty plot.😣I did brainstorm for a long time and even considered to draw a comic but simply got messy ideas. Better luck next time.
My only contribution to Danny Phantom 2010s crossover angst week, for prompt "Clone", so get ready for sad Danny and Superman bonding
“Phantom.”
“Superman,” boy just said, trying too hard to not sound relieved. He curled up a bit more where he sat on top of the Daily Planet’s globe.
“It’s a long way from Amity Park.”
“Mhm.”
“You’re not yelling this time.”
“I should probably apologize for that.”
“I deserved it.”
“Yeah, maybe.”
Clark waited until boy said something else, but he just stared in the distance, chin on his knees, one hand on the axis so he didn’t slip. He never saw him so quiet and subdued.
“Is everything alright champ?”
“Is there a possibility that someone else will hear what I tell you here?”
“No.”
Phantom took a moment to built courage to speak again.
“I think I understand you now,” boy started cautiously. Clark hummed in question. He had a feeling that if he spoke kid would clam up again, “Why you fucked up with Conner at the start.”
Clark kept his face carefully neutral. Phantom was one of Superboy’s best friends and biggest defenders, often going out of his way to find Clark and yell at him after every less than ideal interaction with the boy. Sometimes he threw rocks. Sometimes even ectoplasm infused ones, that worked like weaker Kryptonite. There was one memorable time he spit on his shoes.
Phantom was last person he could ever expect any understanding from, regardless if he deserved it or not.
“You won’t tell me off for swearing this time?”
“Words are made to be used. It was appropriate description.”
Kid snorted.
“I’m citing you next time English teacher gets mad at me for swearing.”
If boy needed some small talk before getting to the point Clark could do that. He didn’t have anything to be and even if he did, Phantom took precedence. Clark may not start off too well in regard of having teenager in his care (he could be honest with himself, the way he started was probably one of the worst possible ones, and Phantom knew it well) but if, despite all that, kid came to him, only correct course of action was to do his best.
He settled on the other side of planet’s axis, there but not breaching personal space.
“I’m an alien from outer space, I don’t think I count as authority on English language.”
There was short signal from Phantom’s pocket that made him flinch, before he relaxed again. Some part of Clark wanted to burn whatever alert it was, because something was wrong and for all he didn’t say it, teen came here for help and for all he didn’t interact with them, Clark kept an eye on Team and he knew that if Phantom didn’t say what was bothering him now, chances that he’d come again where slim, but if he came in the first place meant he really, really needed some help.
“Trouble at home?”
“No, this… um… this was from Da– Wanderstar. She’s traveling right now, so we asked her to check-in once a day. It was normal sound, so she’s fine. We have call scheduled for Saturday. I’m a little stressed about it. I don’t want to mess it up.”
“Wanderstar is this girl you like?”
“No, ew. She is my clone and twelve! What the fuck Superman?!”
“Language”
“This is appropriate use. She's a baby!”
“You've been cloned.”
Phantom deflated like a punctured tire.
“Yeah.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be. It’s not your fault.”
“Not the meaning of sorry I meant and you know it.”
“You just said you’re not an authority on English language.”
Clark kept himself from pointing out that they got distracted from the issue again. Frankly, he wasn’t quite ready for conversation like this either, for conversation about his perspective on being cloned in general. He understood why most people focused on Conner, on how Clark kept failing the boy and should really get himself together and become present part of his life. Especially coming from the Team, who were Conner’s friends before they had any relationship with him.
But in privacy of his own heart he could admit, that he was mad that nobody ever asked how it felt to learn there was a child made out of him without his knowledge. How he was handling it. How they could make it work for both of them. Some part of him was mad that nobody saw the period when he was so paranoid of leaving any DNA after his fights, that started burning any and all blood after his fight with laser vision, searching for it like a hellhound, that he stopped throwing out coffee cups he got from people, that he scrubbed his skin before going out so it wouldn’t fall off as much, that he considered shaving his hair, because what if that’s how they got him?
And now he had the chance to talk about it all, because there was a child violated in the same way he was.
“Are you alright?”
Boy curled up even more, like being as small as possible could make him actually secure, “No,” he whispered, barely legible over soft wind.
“Do you want to talk about how you feel?”
“This is therapy speech and I have bad experiences, knock it off.”
“Sorry, it’s just… nobody ever asked me how I felt about the whole ‘being cloned’ thing and it was hard to deal with alone. You’re here, so I assume you wanted to talk. Unfortunately, social scripts do not provide good conversation started for ‘you just got cloned and have a lot of feelings about it’ talks.”
“Huh, nobody? I assumed Justice League had your back on it.”
“No, they were far more focused on tearing me down for my treatment of Conner. Understandably so, he deserved far better… whatever I am to him–”
“Wanderstar calls me her template, I think that’s the best word without involving family dynamics.”
“Yes, that’s a a good one. Anyway, Conner definitely deserved better template than I was able to be at the start, more present and understanding, and some of their reprimands were important for me to hear. But it would be nice to have at least one conversation about how it feels in my end, you know?”
“Damn, that sucks.”
“It’s okay now. Frankly, I don’t know how I’d handle talking about it back then. But you’re here, so I’m guessing you want to deal with this side of the experience. So, how does it feel.”
“I hate it. I hate it so much. I hate that I hate it, because I love Wanderstar and anything that happened is not her fault but I hate it. I hate that he somehow got me, I hate that he sent her after me, I hate that he convinced her he’d stabilize her if she got me back to him, but actually wanted to achieve The Perfect One, I hate that I keep remembering this lab, I– I hate that she’s away, because we don’t know if she won’t destabilize too and what if I won’t be able to help her on time, but I don’t think I’d be able to handle if she stayed close. I hate this whole situation and I hate that I hate it, because she genuinely is a great person and I shouldn’t not want to have her and I don’t want to not have her, but I keep feeling sick because of the how.”
“You’re not a bad template, or a bad person for hating the fact that there was whole other person made out of you, especially if you don’t make her feel like that’s the case. You are not a bad person for feeling things about something so… violating.”
“I’m a ghost. The ‘being of emotions’ as magic crowd likes to put it. I… it’s dangerous when I’m angry. It can shape me, if I’m not careful enough.”
“Every feeling being can be dangerous if they’re angry. I could destroy buildings if I’m not careful, even when I’m calm. Lex Luthor let most of his career be shaped by his fury. You’re not unique in that. You’re human.”
“Not a human.”
“Neither am I. Nor is Miss Martian or Aqualad. But we have humanity and with that comes ability to feel and permission to feel. If either of your friends were in your place and you were in mine, would you tell them they’re anger makes them bad people?”
“I told that to you.”
“No, you told me that I’m a coward for avoiding the situation, which is external action and not emotion. My actions were not the best and deserved to be called out. If your friend came to you and told you they were angry about getting cloned but kept doing their best for their clone anyway, fulfilling their wishes despite feeling bad about it, would you say that their hate makes them bad person?”
“I mean…”
“Would you ever tell any of your friends that their anger at Light or at Cadmus or whoever else who hurt them, makes them bad person?”
“No, but I’m not them! I’m not them and I can’t be angry, and I can’t hate! I can’t even dislike a holiday without universe giving me comeuppance about it, and if it strikes again, Da– Wanderstar will be hurt too!”
“You’re allowed to be angry. You’re allowed to dislike things. You’re allowed to hate things. It’s human. You’re not a monster for being human. And if Universe will ever again try to tell you otherwise, tell us. Justice League is big enough that we will be able to fight Universe for you and win.”
“We’re talking in circles.”
“It’s important that you get it.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”
Clark let the issue drop for now. Worst came to worst, he could tell Dinah to handle it, she’d probably know how to get through to the teen.
“Do you get worried about Conner when we go on rogue missions?”
“I get worried even when he’s on authorized ones. I know he can handle it, I know you all can handle it, fear isn’t really rational sometimes.”
“Mhm. Wanderstar promised to stay out of trouble and to sent distress signal if she found some anyway. I’m friend with a ghost who can teleport and there are Zeta-Tubes, Bioship if worst came to worst, but I hate that she’s away. I wouldn’t be able to keep her even if emotional bullshit wasn’t in the way, because my parents don’t know I’m a hero and um… they aren’t bad people and I know they love me, but we’re still figuring out how to explain whole new person in the house to them, because I don’t trust them with truth.”
“Justice League will gladly help you find safe place for Wanderstar, if it ever becomes necessity.”
“Yeah, she asked me to not tell anyone about her and I don’t think Team would take kindly if I made her move to the Mountain. And if she decided to settle, I wouldn’t want it to be not at home, you know? It’s fine, I mostly wanted to rant about it. We have it almost figured out, I just need to come up with a way to get one ghost on board to get this idea to work, maybe get some ghost contract proofreader to make sure she can’t spin it into some disaster. I got my friends to help with that.”
“That’s good to hear.”
“It’s stupid how I can’t bear to have her so far away, but can’t handle when she’s close.”
“It’ll get easier with time.”
“I sure as fuck hope so. I’m treating this, and the calls I have scheduled with her, as an exposure therapy. It worked with Mindlink and Zeta-Tubes, it should work with her.”
Clark had no idea what to say to that confession. Phantom stood up.
“Anyway, I should get going,” he said, cheerful and almost carefree, “This was surprisingly helpful. Are you a therapist or a preschool teacher in your civilian life?”
This question startled laugh out of Clark. He’d probably do more harm than good in either of the professions.
“No, just a humble journalist.”
Phantom froze where he was slowly floating away.
“So you are authority on English!”
“Not that your teacher know of!”
Phantom darted away, flipping him off instead of answering.
It… wasn’t the best way this conversation could go, but he thought it should count as decent. And decent… decent was decent enough way to start.
Bonus part that I cut off because Danny wouldn't open up so fast and it didn't quite fit the vibe:
whenever I think about her, I think about others and about that lab…” Phantom broke off, gasping for breath, “He electrocuted me. He kept electrocuting me down there. Superman, that’s how I died.”
Kid Flash cocks his head, hand on his chin. “You’ve got a lot of powers, huh. Flight, super strength, the ability to keep up with super speed, intangibility, and energy bolts like Raven and Star! Anything else you can do?”
“Yes,” you answer honestly, but do not elaborate.
None of them seem the type to appreciate anything like possession.
anything you can do I can do better...

(Oops may have injured my shoulder/back again so here's image descriptions for a comic I might do in the future instead)
[Panel 1: We open on the scene of Stan and Ford's fight. Ford is getting pulled up into the portal]
[Panel 2: Split panels. One from each of the brother's POV's. Wide front on shots with heavy darks contrasted by the brothers both appearing to be almost swallowed by the harsh light of the portal. There are arcs of electricity and floating debris to add more compositional elements. They wear matching expressions of panicked horror.]
[Panel 3: Still split POVS, bur medium shots from the side. The brothers are facing the middle where the panel is split in a harsh tear of white. Ford is throwing his journal.]
[Panel 4: A panel of white to simulate the flash of the portal and to add dramatic pause. Quick breather panel.]
[Panel 5: Full body shot of Ford is pushing himself up from where he's crashed post portal. He's a little dusty and scuffed, but not visibly injured.]
{Panel 6: Pan out to a wider shot to show that Ford is in fact in the Ghost Zone. He is getting his bearings and hasn't noticed his surroundings yet. There's a pair of white boots visible on one side of the screen. Oops who could that be?]
[Panel 7: We come back into a medium shot of Ford finally realizing what's happened and sort of in a daze as he tries to process that he's trapped in another dimension. There's a small "Ughh..." that drifts up from the corner of the panel in a wiggly font.]
[Panel 8: Cut to Danny waking up, and looking groggy in his Phantom form. He's lightly singed and smoking a bit. "Sam? Tucker...? You guys okay?"]
<May revise to have Danny show up in a flash while Ford is getting his bearings. May read as a more natural way of grabbing Ford and the reader's attention>
All three of them are human. Ben is not a ghost, no. And yet they invited you to sit around their fire and eat their food even though you are a ghost, even though you nearly carted Ben right off, intent to see him back to the Zone. The dragon and his dog were going to feed you too, but Ben stopped being a ghost and became a boy and you didn’t know what to do.
It seemed easier to just go along with it. The irony, again, is not lost on you.

Breaking Point, a Danny Phantom and Teen Wolf crossover written for @dp-crossover-angst-week-event, Day 4: Bad Parent(s)
Summary: When Danny realizes his parents have figured out the truth—or a close enough approximation to the truth—and that they aren’t taking it well, he runs. Stiles is relieved he found another teen and not another body, but it doesn’t take a genius to know Danny’s circumstances aren’t normal.
(I've got the angst but surprisingly not even the graphic depictions of violence because Danny bolted before that point, so no warnings for this one beyond what you'd see in DP canon.)
“Hey! Kid! Stop running, we just want to get you some help!”
Dani sprinted down the alley in another attempt to shake off her pursuers. She hadn’t been expecting to start melting, much less have some concerned civilian report her condition to nearby officers before she could find somewhere to hide and get her gooey problem under control.
It had become a nonissue since the ecto dejecto, but since landing in this strange world she’d have the occasional relapse. The first time it had happened had been the worst, she’d thought she’d dissolve into nothingness in a foreign world without anyone ever knowing a thing about what happened to her. To her surprise though, she hadn’t shed a significant amount of ectoplasm at all, and once she’d stopped actively melting, she’d been able to reabsorb what she’d shed.
“Shit!”
Deadend.
She could get out of this if she could pull herself together enough to phase through the wall.
Concentrate!
She closed her eyes, and breathed in deeply like she’d seen the heroes do in movies.
She peeked open an eye.
Nope! Not even invisible!
Come on ghost powers! It would be reaaaaally handy if she could make like a ghost and disappear!
Her hands flickered like a faulty lightbulb before they started more noticeably dripping.
Okay! This was fine! Perfect even! She was definitely not panicking! No way!
There was still a chance she could convince them she was fine! Dani took another deep breath in and willed herself to be as solid as possible, wiping some of the residual goo dripping from her face onto her sleeves. After a moment of thought, she decided to shove her hands into her pockets too before turning around and trying to act as innocent as possible.
Not a second later and the two officers closed in on her.
“Haha hi there guys! I’m sure there’s been some kind of misunderstanding, I am perfectly fine!”
“Whether or not that is the case, we’ll still need you to come with us. A young lady such as yourself shouldn’t be running around back alleys on her own.”
“I wouldn’t say she’s on her own.”
The dread and anxiety that swirled in Dani’s stomach was replaced by with relief when a familiar figure was revealed towards the mouth of the alley.
“Mr. Greed!”
Greed sauntered further into the alley before wrapping an arm around each of the officer’s shoulders, dragging them down a bit with his weight and momentarily distracting them as Dani skirted around them and towards sweet sweet escape!
“What seems to be the problem here officers?”
His teeth flashed threateningly, and he was visibly putting more weight onto his latest victims. Dani snickered a bit to herself while Greed got things sorted out.
Boo-yah! Great timing Greed!
“Come on kiddo, let’s get outta here.”
Dani tucked herself under one of Greed’s arms, peeking back, and stuck her tongue out at the now the now throughly cowed officers.
Someone shouts, and a harsh gust fans out, a dark shadow flashing across the silver grass. The two duck, staffs aimed high, and blasts fill the air as you pick at the cut cord, worrying it. Then everything washes over with red and orange heat — claws hook in the snare over your head and lift.
More yelling follows over a cackled And another win for the AM Drag!

AO3 Link: Black Sheep - Chapter 2: Tell Me What I'm Supposed To Do
Summary:
As far as first interactions go, it could've been worse. Danny could've gotten stabbed. At least there's some very convenient distractions he can hit instead.
Not my closest following of a prompt, but alas. Really enjoyed this chapter, actually.
