Good day. My name is Tiberius Reid Jr. And even if the people close to me call me Tidus, I prefer Dr. Reid when we are in a professional setting. I am one of PRIME's medical officers and I am a part of the surgery team. Don't worry, my hands are steady.

"That’s a good phrase, I’m glad it’s not very applicable on the ship though. There’s little room for wrong or stupid mistakes. Well, I’m sure we will find a out to make it fun and educational and hopefully never have to implement any of those protocols. I’d rather be being helpful than a dead weight you have to lug around in the ship. Besides I’m more useful helping out."

"I'd hate you if you become a dead weight mainly because you really look heavy," Tidus laughed. "Anyway, I do hope you're settling in nicely in here."

"Well it’s good to know I’ll be busy, my father always said, ‘Idle hands are the devils workshop’. Silly phrase huh? I’ll be sure to check it out though, I doubt anyone would be happy if I missed my first shift eh? I’ve handled worse I’d like to think, specially out in the field.

"A person who does nothing has a higher chance of doing something wrong and stupid -- I believe I understand the phrase...yeah? Anyway, I'm looking forward to working with you because beyond the usual shift, we will deal with the rehashing of the safety protocols in the ship. Surely, it will be busy...good thing you don't mind such nature."

Day two.

"Glad to know there’s a dependable Doc around. Field Medic Helix Dackery. I have a notion or two I’ll be running into you a fair bit over the course of our travels.

"Ah. Medic. Yes ye -- I uh -- the medical bay have sorted out your shifts in the ER. I think the Land Recon's comm lobby posted that. It can get busy but it's nothing you can't handle, right?"

Well you definitely crushed my dreams there eh? It’s probably for the best anyways, I’m to high strung anyways to be idle too long.

"A man who's always on is feet, eh? I'm one myself. Dr. Tidus Reid."

Day two.

Yeah, I was going to say I’m lucky for it. Doesn’t hurt to dream about getting more though does it?

"Well you can't. Five hours in not enough to make you dream. And if it does, it's only for a while. Like a roller coaster that's halfway up."

Physically I think I’m fine, mentally I might be going a bit nuts, but I suppose you can tell me better about the physical side. When should I come in?

"It's just work. Trust me, I've been there. Anyway, you can come in anytime."

Day two.

Well the beds aren’t as bad as basic training, and I may have just gotten over five hours of shut eye. Now if I remember correctly, the mess hall was this way…

"Five hours is actually quite fortunate."

"Well then, think you could pencil me in for an appointment Doc? I think I missed my second physical if I’m correct, I had one before I got on the ship, but the other one, after we got on. I’ve got an irrational fear of this thing crashing. So we’ll see, I do love what I’m doing though"

"Oh. I'll make sure that I'll get into that. Everyone needs that second physical to check how you're coping..."

[sebastian-randall]

"Well, I may have skipped an appointment. If I had known you were my doctor maybe I wouldn’t have. Terribly sorry about that love" Sebastian laughed, rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah, I suppose so. I guess this wasn’t what I saw myself doing, but I like it. Well, once I get over my fear of this thing I’ll really like it"

"Oh. Then you must get on that immediately. It's good if were updated on the records. And I am very much positive that you'll do just fine. Loving your job is the first step..."

'Yes, I get it, though I will say it does provide nice eye candy, I would bet you don't have anyone miss an appointment” Sebastian laughed, “Well, then I'm glad you didn't. I just did it because I was fifteen and bored with regular schooling, I wasn't the best student”

"I--oh. Yeah, thanks...but I do think it's more of the mandatory nature of appointments so...yeah..." he nodded, unused to such compliments. "But I see this choice of your have served you well, yes?"

"That must explain why the doctor is also very fit and good looking" Sebastian chuckled, "But thank you, I try. I’ve only done that once before though, to test myself. I think it was when I was studying German I forced myself to learn it simply by being around someone who spoke the language, not allowing them to explain anything to me in English"

"I-uh thanks...I mean, space survival can be physically demanding so..." he nodded in appreciation. "But that was quite impressive. If I did that in medschool, I would've met an early death."

"I suppose so, since it seems to be the thing my father thinks I’m worth doing. I’m really happy to help as well, the idea that another life form might have a similar or similarly patterned language excites me. I wouldn’t want you lot to be in trouble like that, that’s why I stick to the radios’

"Well, Prime has made sure they their team is the best of the best. That I am sure of. And learning a new language, much more something unknown and with an unavailable native speaker to guide you, is a great feat in itself.

"Really? Thats awesome! How is he? Is he ok?"

[dr-tidus-reid]

"Well, we did our best so I can only hope for the better."

"I suppose so, you’re already probably exhausted" he grinned, "Nothing wrong with it, it’s a great department. I’m just the linguistic specialist of the bunch, stuck flipping around radio frequencies trying to listen for signs of another language"

"You're the linguistic specialist. Without you we'd probably be talking to other life forms in crude sign language. You keep the whole crew from humiliating themselves because really, a small mispronunciation can turn  greeting into n insult."

"I may not be a doctor. But isnt skipping meals a bad thing? So…whats new with you besides working like a dog. When is Robocop being release?"

"I can handle a few hours of skipping a meal...as for Officer Daniels, he just got discharged hours ago."

Then you should try to have some fun on your break time Doctor. It’s not useless, it’s just rather boring. I listen to radio frequencies for hours on end.

"It'll come. Besides, sleep come first," he chuckled. "What's wrong with the Comm Department though, EDEN got tired of taking you out for dinner over the phone?"

"What’s up doc?"

"Nothing much. My shift just ended...I'm heading to the mess hall to get some dinner that I missed six hours ago."
