Give my friends a look and help them start their new Youtube channel guys. Great folks with a lot of rare and interesting firearms to film so it has potential.
Shoutout to this picture for single handedly keeping this blog going. For anyone wondering I still haven’t replaced the camera and equipment that was stolen when my home was broken into but I did just buy a P227 TACOPS so there’s that.
I’m DR8C0, and this is my blog. I post here with my friend Todd and homoerotic gun enthusiasts, “Gunblr”. Everything on here has a story and a tuck. One thing I've learned after 21 years - you never know who is gonna tuck on the dashboard. @coffeeandspentbrass @libertymints @paradynamic @futuristic-linguistics

Taking advice from the range: Practice Carrying
So a friend at the range mentioned that he thought I should try practicing carrying around my house in private just to get used to the feeling and the movements I can and can’t do. He said to just grab a cheap airsoft or rubber training gun, any old holster that would stay in place, and test out some different carry positions and outfits.
Now I know just about jack shit about carrying, so I wasn’t in a place to tell him no, and I figured I might learn something. So these are the results. Pictures numbered left to righ in rows like you’re reading a book.
The gun and holster. An Umarex C02 modeled on the Glock 17 and some holster I had from airsofting way back when.
The view of the gun in my belt at the 4 o’clock or 3:30 position.
Arms crossed with a golf polo on
Reaching and turned sideways away from my gun side, as if I’m trying to stretch the lats on my gun side
Same position as #3, but with a very light Sonoma mock flannel
Same shirt as #5, same position as #4.
I don’t know if this is a good proxy for carrying my actual pistol I’ll be getting in June, but I figure it couldn’t hurt. Anyone got any input on the results, or if I’m making an ass of myself even doing this, feel free to chime in.
I’d definitely invest in a real holster for whatever model gun you’re getting.
Also get a good belt, it’s just as if not more important to comfort and concealability as a good holster is.
Oh yeah I’m getting a leather holster from the CZ shop specifically for the P-01. I just wasn’t gonna drop any money on a holster for this CO2 Glock.
Do you think a triple thick Ariat belt would work? It seems pretty stiff and I love the way it fits.
Does it support itself and hold its weight without sagging if you hold it when buckled?
I went through one cheap regular belt and then 2-3 lower priced gun belts before saying fuck it and spending the ~$110 on an Ares Gear Aegis Enhanced. It’s a lot of money for sure, but it makes carrying a larger, heavier pistol much, much easier and more comfortable.
There’s also the Wilderness Instructor belt, which is pretty popular and relatively cheap for a decent gun belt.

The Beltman makes some high quality traditional leather gunbelts, and I’ve heard good things about Magpul’s new Tejas belt.
This Glock looks like an XD forcefully raped a Glock but the Glock was pro life and carried the bastard child to term anyway.
God Blessed Texas
Texas is trying to secede again.
Thank goodness
I don’t blame them
Considering Texas is the 12th largest economy on the planet, and it’s a net drain to be in the US, because we get to pay for the economic filandering of CA and NY and other worthless liberals hell holes, and on too of it, have to put up with federal regulation and oversight… it makes perfect sense to secede. Let y'all figure this shit out on your own.
I’ve been saying!
I’ll move back if it happens.
I’d be tempted to emigrate.
@waldhexe and I have been talking about moving to the Waco area eventually, gimme that sweet Republic of Texas
@paradynamic you can buy 30 acres of land in West Texas for the price of a SCAR 17 set up ($12,000)
