On one level, I want to teach my path in order to share with someone. I want to be able to share and practice with someone without feeling like the weird one because of how I branched off and evolved away from Wicca 101 books.

On the other.....because I developed this path on my own it's incredibly personal and intimate to me and could I ever really trust someone with the information I've gathered and put together?????

I want to practice with others. But I wan’t to practice the Craft how I’ve developed it for myself. 

I would like to be part of the larger community, but I’m also tired of eclectic/solitary Wiccans telling me I’m wrong for cursing and that I have to follow the Rede and follow the Threefold Law in order to be a real Wiccan.

I treasure my practice. I love my path.  I hate the generic 101 eclectic Wicca that everyone gets stuck on.

I want to share knowledge, but I’m not going to be patient with those who can’t (and won’t) think outside the 101 starter books.

Sending this question out into the void, I don’t expect it’ll ever truly be answered. BUT

After re-reading His Dark Materials, and currently reading book 2 of The Book of Dust....

WHY is tarot not considered a form of communication with Dust??? I can’t grasp my mind around that.

Out of curiosity, for those of you who do curse, do you prefer to do a general cursing and wait for bad things to fall on your victim or do you prefer to be specific in the kind of situation you want your victim to be subject to?

Again, I’m simply curious. Personally I prefer to be specific when I curse. But what are your preferences?

I’m just gonna assume that jinxes count in this, I prefer specific things that I know will annoy them and make them feel bed for what they’ve done but that’s just me

I don't see why jinxed can't be counted. Cursing is a spectrum from minor to severe stuff~

In DPP (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum) sneasel shows up on five different routes, and then evolves into weavile when leveled with a razor claw at night. Razor claws aren’t hard to find either, so while there’s minimal effort involved here, weavile isn’t really special.

Munchlax, though? Jesus fuck. Jesus fucking christ. Munchlax in DPP is one of the most difficult Pokémon in ANY of the games—if not the absolute most difficult. DPP has a mechanic where you could slather honey on certain trees, and six hours later a Pokémon would turn up on the tree. Several of the Pokémon you could get this way were common, but some could ONLY be obtained from honey trees. You couldn’t change the DS system’s time to speed things up, because the trees ran on their own counter—so you HAD to wait six hours for a Pokémon to show up.

It gets worse. There were 21 of these honey trees in the game, and regardless of the tree’s location, and tree could summon any of the “honey tree Pokémon…”

Except. Fucking. Munchlax.

Only FOUR trees in the game had the potential to summon Munchlax. Which trees, you ask? Guess. No, literally, take a fucking guess—because the four trees that can summon Munchlax are decided at random based on your trainer ID and secret ID. There is NO way to determine which trees they are unless you feel like hacking into your game’s data and then doing some weird complicated math.

That’s not all. You thought that was all? You thought Munchlax was a merciful god that would take pity on your tiny, pathetic body? Oh no. Not even close. Munchlax isn’t done with you yet, Munchlax is going to peel you like a fucking mango and laugh while you cry.

Munchlax only has a 1% encounter rate.

ONE. PERCENT. As in 1/100.

So to recap—4/21 honey trees (and you don’t know which ones) have a 1% chance of summoning this little motherfucker once every six hours. That’s it. No fast tracking, no cheats, and no workarounds. Munchlax in DPP is the holy grail of hard to find Pokémon.

And pinky here has the AUDACITY to offer the MUCH more easily obtainable weavile for it. Fuck that. Fuck that!!! White DS girl knows what the FUCK is up!!!

In conclusion;

Munchlax is pretty hot… Try again.

I wrote about this card towards the beginning of the pandemic when everything felt upside down and backwards. I found myself expecting to be the same productive person that I was at the beginning of the year. It took me a while to be okay with things feeling different, to expect less of myself and to celebrate the smaller things. I am still teaching myself that growth can look different and it doesn’t always have to be met with action. Sometimes we grow the most when we are sleeping: A graveyard of sleeping ships sprinkled across the forest floor paints a scene of another world forgotten. Perhaps there was an ocean here once, but now these ships have taken on a new life. Overgrown and exposed to new elements, the sleeping ships become shelter for new flora and fauna to thrive.  The world here has ended many times, but through small bangs and persistent whispers life has always found a way back. We can often be too hard on ourselves, we expect things to only grow in an upwards trajectory but this is not always the case. We search for inspiration expecting it to be where we once found it. That’s the thing about inspiration - you can’t really choose where it comes from, it’s from every part of your existence. So while some parts may feel like they are withering now, new inspiration will grow in the shadows. It will plant seeds for future thoughts and future epiphanies. Your inspirations may shift, and you will change, that is for certain, but you will grow and find new paths. These are the things we learn from Sleeping Ships. And that is the beauty of being human - we are always growing, even when we’re resting. This card will be included in all First Edition decks of Cosma Visions. As with Prisma Visions, each edition will have a unique 79th card. To add a little astrology info in my Book of Shadows or to forgo it altogether?

I have an astrology book (somewhere). It’s not like it’s entirely relevant to my practice (I don’t even pay much attention to Moon phases or even times of day for my spells).

I feel like I’m only contemplating it because it’s what most other witches do.

Question for witchblr:

I got a spell candle and it says to use it under a full moon. The next full moon is in September, so my question is- Will the spell be weaker if I did it now? Is it best to wait until the full moon?

I'm totally cool with waiting, I'm just really excited about it. I also don't have a lot of experience with using the moon phases, as the few spells over done didn't really go along with moon phases.

More context needed but in general:

If purchased as a spell kit, go with the instructions

If purchased *for* a spell you have not purchased as a kit, what’s better for you?

But what’s the spell? Most might prefer to go with the Full Moon for lunar correspondences but if you haven’t purchased a spell kit, I don’t see what you can’t go ahead and do the spell when you planned for it originally.
