Something that really bothers me in platonic or romantic Flipaky stuff is when Flaky is always written as the perpetual victim and Flippy as the perpetual perpetrator. In the show it is made quite clear that both of them are capable of violence in extreme situations. I also think this dynamic can unintentionally reinforce stereotypes about mental illness. Such as the idea that some conditions make people passive and others make people inherently dangerous. Happy Tree Friends isn't a show meant to properly and realistically handle mental conditions and such, as they are simply a plot device, BUT I feel like its important to bring this critique up just because it has the capability to shape people's perceptions of certain mental conditions and dynamics.

Let it be known I'm not attempting to police people's writing. I am merely pointing out a fandom pattern that I feel has the potential to be harmful. Feel free to disagree with me but please don't make a large display or use crude language.

As a major fan of Flippy. I hate when people just depict him as Fliqpy. Cause that makes him more flat than he is. I feel the Double Whammy 2 parter shows us that Flippy seems to actively dislike Fliqpy causing so much deaths. And Without a Hitch never have Flippy actually flips out with all the depiction of Fliqpy being Flaky fearing the worst case scenario with Flippy. So Flippy seems to have time that he doesn't flips out. And in that episode Flaky ended up stabbing Flippy in the eye. Flipping (heh) the dynamic people have with these two. Sorry if you can't tell Flippy is one of if not is my favorite HTF character. So I have strong feelings about him and how people simplify him in the show with already simple characters.
