I do love Trevor as " The Star" card. I am no expert at tarot or its interpretation, but my understanding is that this card is associated with things like hope (or restored hope/faith/purpose), renewal, entering a peaceful or healing phase after a painful one, etc. which I think fits where Trevor ends up by the end of the story. Renewed purpose. A new, hopeful start for the Belmonts as a family and himself as a person/partner/father. Pulling himself out of the traumatized, depressed state he was in after his family's murder.
And the reversed Star card can mean despondency, lost hope, disconnection, etc. which I think fits him at the start of the story as well.
And of course his "Morning Star" weapon. :)
