“Oh, I don’t mind. I probably won’t be in the room much anyway,” she reassured her. “Uh, yeah. It was a brief encounter though. You?”

“Really is a mess of people at the moment,” he said. “You know we could but i’m actually cool with you being stronger than me,” he laughed.
“I think ‘a mess’ is an understatement,” she chuckled, shaking her head. “Honestly that was a lame attempt at breaking the ice or whatever. I’m sorry. No arm wrestling then.”

“Well given i was waiting for a friend that’s late, maybe it’s a good thing that you don’t know anyone here.”
“I’m sure your friend’s just busy with everything going on around campus today. -and I guess I have a friend now. I’m Luna by the way.”

“Oh no, that’s okay. I should suffer,” she said with a laugh. “I can’t bring you into my crazy. I might just send some stuff home before my parents leave.”
“Don’t be silly, of course you can. I have a lifetime pass to crazytown, trust me. We can make room for... all of your stuff. It’s fine.”

“Of course love, i just know what it was like to be 300 and looking to explore the world. Though i did have a daughter by your age.”
She pulled a face, looking up at her uncle. “Is it weird that I can’t see myself having kids? I mean, can you see me being a mom?”

elias hoped luna didn’t have anywhere to be soon, because he had no plans to stop smothering his sister. of course, he wasn’t going to hover or control how she lived out this college experience. he had never been like that, BUT he would absolutely hover and smother to his hearts desire for one afternoon. “let’s settle and say we missed each other equally and dad missed us most?”
Out of all of the Jameson clan, Luna had always been closest to Elias. He wasn’t just her brother. In a lot of ways, he was her best friend. “Dad definitely missed us most,” she agreed with a little laugh. “And fine, I guess we missed each other equally, but like a ton. Let’s not go that long without seeing each other again okay?”

“ugh yeah, i have like fifty siblings here who’ve helped me gradually throughout the day.” val lied. she had always been sneaky about using her magic, but maybe with the freedom college brought, she was losing that edge. “though, they don’t have much of a taste for cute wall designs.” she laughed, kicking nervously at the ground. “my younger sister is so different from me and well, my older sister is … thirty.” the blonde explained with a laugh.
“Oh, I can relate. There are a lot of Jamesons running around here too. My dad and uncle are professors, siblings are enrolled. I even have some cousins around campus. It’s kind of crazy,” she trailed off, realizing she was rambling and the blonde probably didn’t care. She offered a small smile and tilted her head slightly. “I can relate to that too. I’m sure if we work together we can make this place look awesome.”

“ Well, being the first here also means being the first to call which bed you want.” She chuckled. “Most like being by the window from what I heard.” Alice went to pick up a box and found herself chuckling. She knew she looked young after all. “ English literature. I graduated early and I have my baby face to thank for that.” She smiled. “I’m only 25 though.”
“That’s true. I didn’t think about that. I probably should have claimed a bed. That’s the one thing I didn’t touch,” she admitted, but the truth was, she didn’t want to step on any toes. She just claimed part of the closet and a chest of drawers and called it a day. She should have made her bed. Too late. “Ugh yeah, I should have taken the window bed. Do you think it’s too late?” She asked, scrunching her nose. “I can relate to the baby face. I’m going to look eighteen for like, ever,” she joked. “Oh, maybe I’m in your class then? I’m taking a literature course this semester... I think.”

a roll of the eyes should have told his cousin that he was not really hoping to do that. “You know, I just want to get adjusted first, then maybe I will try and have some fun…I just don’t want to draw to much attention to myself- I kinda struggle keeping things at bay on times..” he admitted referring to his dragon nature.
“Yeah, I get that, but sometimes the distraction of ‘human’ life makes it easier? Like, doing mundane things keeps me busy and I don’t have any urges.” They all handled their abilities differently and she wasn’t the type to judge. She just wanted him to be able to enjoy his time at Whitmore like she wanted to enjoy hers. “We’ll just have to hang out all the time, and I can help you keep things at bay, and you can help me.”

“i can be nice ––– generally just to those that i actually like.” rebekah said to the woman as she looked her up and down. “you look familiar, do i know you?”
Okay, so apparently the blonde wasn’t destined to be Luna’s new BFF at university. She forced a tightlipped smile. “Noted. -I don’t think so. I’ve been around. Maybe you know my family? The Jamesons...” She cleared her throat. “There’s a lot of us around campus.”

“you know how jealous your brother and sister can get.” he said with a soft chuckle as they walked with the boxes. “that sounds good, i could definitely eat right now.”
“Yeah we all have that in common,” she joked, sticking her tongue out like a child. “Uh yeah, me too. I haven’t eaten all day. Guess I got a little excited about everything and forgot to eat. Where’s your office?”

her smile softened somewhat as she realized it was luna, motioning for the young dragon to close the door if she wanted, “To be honest? I feel the same way, but at the same time it’s my duty to wade straight into it and make sure they know I’m not afraid… but yes, I always have time for you.”
“Look at you, showing Whitmore how badass you can be. This is why I’ve always looked up to you,” she replied, grinning from ear to ear. “Good answer, because it was going to happen whether you had time for me or not. I missed you Catelyn.”

“I didn’t even think this stuff would be this heavy.” she reassured her cousin with a small grin. She probably shouldn’t have brought every single souvenir back from New Orleans to give to her family. “Yeah, it feels like it’s been a long time since we last saw each other.” she grinned before then letting out a small laugh at her cousin’s exaggeration. “English lit, you?”
“I mean, I’m sure none of it is heavy on it’s own, just when it’s all packed together,” she replied with a chuckle. “Probably has. I’ve kind of been all over the place for a while now. Haven’t stayed in the same place too long. Haven’t really seen anyone much, so I’m glad everyone’s here.” She shrugged and scrunched up her face. “Still undecided... But I should probably pick something, huh?”

“I might have brought too much stuff,” Ella confessed to her roommate. “Like way more than too much stuff. I might have to go and buy a second cupboard.”
“You definitely brought too much stuff. But it’s fine, you can have one of my drawers. I’ll just stash some of my things in one of my siblings’ dorms or my dad’s office or something. It’s fine.”

Before he had chance to even look at some of the leaflets, he felt them snatched out of his hand by his cousin. He stood watching her not even having a chance to speak for a moment before shrugging a little. “I suppose so, and I’m not really sure if I want to go to all the good places to meet people… I kinda just want to do my work and keep my head down..” he admitted to her.
Groaning inwardly, Luna stared at her cousin in disbelief. “Statistically, only like 20% of the college experience is doing the work and like, learning and stuff. The other 80% is about meeting new people, making new friends, and finding yourself or whatever. Okay, I totally mad those numbers up, but they’re probably true. It’s the year of fun, Ryder. So let’s have some fun.”

“do i look like i need your help?” rebekah asked with her usual sarcastic tone before she took a breath. she needed to be nice if she was going to stick around. it was something she kept reminding herself. “sure why the bloody hell not.”
“Everybody needs help sometimes,” she muttered under her breath, more to herself than to the blonde. Her eyes rolled but she caught herself and offered a small, tightlipped smile. “It’s just. you have a lot of stuff. I was trying to be nice. You should try it some time.”
