and ciel has never found anyone he could trust like this. someone who accepts him, not the persona he performs. someone he doesn't have to pretend in front of. someone around whom he can just be himself and know that, in that moment, he is at his safest.

sebastian snapping trees in half because another demon complimented his master. alois pulling out an eyeball with their fingers. an entire race through a labyrinth over who gets to keep the shota.

if i'd come up with that as a fanfic, i would've thought, nah, this is way too ridiculous. thankfully, no one stopped them, and the world is a better place because of it. and the fact that we got alois on top of all that somehow makes it even better. i will be forever grateful that s2 exists.

Em Dashes ( — ) are longest. I watched a whole five minute video of Hannibal Lecter cooking and reimagined each scene with Sebastian as Hannibal.

I’ve not watched the show, but I’ve seen clips of it, and Hannibal has a tendency to make subtle cannibal jokes. In my murder couple au, I think Sebastian would be all too fond of making similar jokes as well. Cielle finds it annoying. But sometimes, when the situation calls for it, and when it’s with the friend, acquaintance or relative of a victim she absolutely despised, she’ll indulge Sebastian. Maybe, just maybe, crack one of her own, if she’s in a good mood.

tldr: Sebastian’s cannibal jokes are basically murder couple au’s version of “one hell of a butler”. Sebastian is an insufferable arse in every universe.
