I was at Tavastia 1.0, Bojan greeted us at the queue when he arrived to the venue (at first we only spotted Matti M clearly waiting for someone and went 👀, then wild Bojan appeared! He was so nice and charming and took pics with everyone), so it was very expected to see him on stage too 😁 but still CRAZY, they were so happy to perform together and it felt very electric in the audience! And Bojan also joining the CCC dance was a big surprise moment and I can never forget his piggy train face so there

This is something I had been percolating on for a bit, but the recent discussion regarding “just post the thing” had pushed me into finally making this post!
Behold- a small rec list of Predominantly Bojere But Possibly Something More fics that were published on AO3 between 2023 and 2024!
I just want to give some of my favorite fics their flowers and perhaps help folks newer to the fandom find some delightful material to read.
Perhaps in the spirit of community building- feel free to share your personal recommendations when you reblog! I am personally a predominantly Bojere shipper but any ship is welcome- Käsh, Jeest, Käsagna, Jerika… or non-shippy too! 🫶

These are in no special order. They’re more or less in the order that I still had the tabs open in safari lol. As always- mind the tags on ao3 and some of these will require that you have an ao3 account!
1) Seize the Day (series) by mrdesperation
This is a 2 part series consisting of Seize the Day (complete) and Memento Mori (incomplete/never finished). I still go back and re-read these frequently. The dialogue is so fucking funny and the smut is just 🤌. A little sad it was never finished but what is there is just excellent and is absolutely worth the read.
2) The Thigh Squish Incident by cripplingdepresso and mitochondriencocktail
I adore this fic so much. It’s wickedly funny and incredibly hot at the same time. The descriptions are so so so so vivid and I still find it as enjoyable to read for the 20th time as I did for the first time.
3) When the night falls (stars in your eyes and sea in mine) by finnallydeadd
Non-famous Italian vacation AU! Another incomplete fic that I still go back and read from time to time because I just really love how it’s written. This fic made me want to try an Aperol spritz (I still have not done so lol).
4) The story of love (that hurts) by ate_my_brain
I love angst. And ate_my_brain writes incredible pining angst. I have read this fic a million times and I love it each and every read through. 🔥🔥🔥
5) Midsummer Madness (series) by PuppetMasterOnAString
Holy fucking shit this was probably one of the first fic series in this fandom that I was absolutely obsessed with. It’s a 3 fic series that kicked off with Midsummer (enough light to drive anyone insane). This is a beautifully written 3 chapter fic that I have read over and over again. The second fic was Midsummer(Deleted scenes)- which in addition to deleted scenes, continued the story from the first fic. This one included one hell of a cliffhanger that hit just as ao3 suffered a massive cyber attack and was down for like 2 days. And that was like… 2 days of agony lmao. The third fic is Afterglow (maybe the light drove us insane) and this one takes place after the events of the first two fics. It is incomplete but I do not care. I have read it dozens of times. This whole series is excellent and I cannot recommend it enough.
6) Put Me Together, Thread a Needle by mitochondriencocktail
Before there was “Heated Rivalry” there was this absolute masterpiece of a fic. I will sing this hockey AU’s praises until I die, probably. It’s so beautifully written and so poignant. I don’t know shit about hockey and fortunately an understanding of it was not needed for this fic. 🔥🔥🔥
7) Tee jotakin mahdotonta by tilhi
First off, tilhi is fucking psychic lmao. And secondly, this fic just exudes such a peaceful atmosphere every time I read it even though it’s got a li’l angst and a lotta pining. Idk. I just feel a feeling of calm as I read it.
8) You look at me and babe, I wanna catch on fire by JuliaBaggins
This is a looooong one shot but I fucking love long fics. It is a 5+1 and I just… hnnnnng. It’s written so… tenderly??? Idk how to exactly describe it but yeah- it’s wonderful.
9) something in the water by Natiushq
A Käsh fic! This is a fantastic one-shot. I absolutely love how this author writes their Tommy Cash and intimacy in general.
10) šepetaj mi koliko me hočeš by sepetajmikolikomehoces
Cam boy!Jere fic!!!!!!!!!! I know this fic was technically finished in 2025 BUT- it was started in 2023 and I read it from the beginning way back then so I’m counting it. LOVE THIS FIC. It’s written so atmospherically. Like the prose are gossamer cobwebs just sprinkled around. Gah!!! So good!!!!
11) Private Landing by tilhi
Stripper!AU with angst? SIGN ME UP. One of my favorite things about this fic, and tilhi’s fics in general, is just how GOOD the dialogue is written. The voices of each character is always so distinct. In addition to capturing the voices- the lines are so fucking clever.
12) Ugly Beautiful by slightlysexualfiction
Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh! I loved the complexity of their relationship in this fic so fucking much. It’s so gritty and messy. It is unfinished but again- I think reading unfinished work is absolutely worth it and I love appreciating what has been written. It’s also hot as fuck, so. Yeah. Highly recommend.
13) Do you think we’ll be in love forever? by ate_my_brain
This fic is a masterpiece in storytelling and A N G S T. This is a somewhat non-linear fic- alternating between two timelines (the “present” and the “past”) and the timelines are seamlessly integrated. It’s a complex story with both parties in the relationship being flawed and imperfect people and omg I fucking loved it so much EVEN THOUGH IT HURTS TO READ (but you should absolutely read it).
14) Just Say It For Fun by electron_road_suspect
I am a sucker for fics consisting of misunderstandings and Boys Being Stupid that lead to angst lol. This is a neat, well-packaged little story that I enjoy coming back to regularly.
15) Signs of love (that I walked past) by kuurama
This fic is the epitome of Boys Being Stupid trope and I am still to this day, obsessed with it. I genuinely laughed out loud the first time that I read it and actually teared up from laughing so fucking hard. Absolute masterpiece. I love this fic so goddamn much lmaooooooooo.
16) that's a lotta notifications, huh? by Anonymous
Love a fake dating to real relationship trope fic. This author did such a great job of capturing social media reactions to the occurrences in this story.
17) Guys being dudes, dudes being gay by Mars_was_never_here
This a fun little oneshot. The premise is kinda silly and it’s the thinnest veneer of plot but I am still Here For It.
18) I'm lost in search for you by kuurama
This fic made me ugly cry. Like tears running down my face. And if you have ever talked to anyone who knows me personally (*cough*Peruna*cough*), they’ll tell you I Do Not Do That. Well this fic made me. It’s got a little bit of everything- soulmates, soulmarks, time travel, fix-it… all amalgamated into one beautiful fic. I cannot recommend this one enough.
Ok. That’s a start. I’m sure there are fics that I’ve missed because fics get deleted or I accidentally exited out of tabs when not thinking. But these are a large portion of the fics that I’ve read and reread since 2023.
