haha, this is from May 2025, I forgor to post it. My beloved Frond, of whom I will one day adapt to some story or other. Still really pleased with the texturing on the moss.

She used to be an imperial but I had a good scry of her with ground, fissure, and veined, so I put the money in to regene her. Made it part of her lore since I switched to plague flight last year and I enjoy a good transformation horror. Something Happened in the caves, something rather painful. We can probably blame the wyrmwound for this.

Baldwin and the Bogsneak Mutagen

Before Bogsneaks were a thing, Baldwin was a pearlcatcher.

On September 14th, 2016, something strange began to happen to Baldwin. Over the next 5 days, Baldwin began to slowly transform into something new...

On September 19th, 2016. It was revealed that Baldwin had morphed into a new breed: The Bogsneak. On that day, Baldwin's transformation completed and his art depicted him in a new pose, completely transformed

As part of the release, a story was called "The Bogsneak Mutagen" to discuss how exactly Baldwin created a new breed of dragons.

Due to the fact that Baldwin had created the Bogsneaks, Bogsneaks became the first breed unaffiliated with any particular flight and many users joked that Baldwin was a deity because he'd created an entire new breed, a feat only previously achieved by deities.

Bogsneaks remained the only breed unaffiliated with a flight until the release of Thorntails on November 13th, 2025. As of writing, there's no explanation on why Thorntails are unassociated with any flight.
