Imagine the Ghost Crew meets the Bad Batch

What if Omega meets Hera in the Rebellion, and she gets introduced to Kanan and he recognizes her brothers as the Bad Batch and one day Omega takes them to Pabu and Kanan is super skeptical but he sees Hunter again and they're both able to get closure over what happened in Order 66.

Oh, and Crosshair understandably keeps his distance but Kanan is eventually able to tell him that he understands what happened and maybe they never become fast friends, but they're not afraid of each other anymore.

Meanwhile, Wrecker is just enjoying the company, is happy to see Kanan and Hera again, has arm Wrestling contests with Zeb, bonds with Sabine over explosives, and enthusiastically tells Ezra all the Clone Wars stories he could want.

In a world where Tech is there, Hera tells him how his lessons lead to the Ghost's modifications, Tech admires them and takes notes.

Phee and Sabine talk about art and use many large words that Zeb and Ezra are in the corner trying to figure out.

Rex is probably there too, maybe with Gregor and Wolffe, and they tell Wrecker about Big Bongo, which makes him insanely jealous over missing it.

Phee is fascinated by Hera's Kalikori

Crosshair kinda scares Ezra

Chopper and Gonky are beefing and getting harassed my moon-yos

Sabine disappears into the Archium and no one sees her for hours

Hera and Omega have girl catch-up time to swap stories

Wrecker, Zeb, and Ezra would be menaces together

Hera and Kanan have plenty of peaceful quiet time on the beach away from the chaos

Listen I have so many thoughts on this and none of the writing skills to make it happen lol. Someday when i have time I'll finally give these headcanons a proper fanfiction!

ALSO I am going to once again point out that Tech flips over as he’s falling and doesn’t fall back into the abyss the whole time. He’s doing what you’re supposed to do when you find yourself in his position by flipping over into the prone/skydiver position, something that will give him some ability to steer and potentially slow his speed, and he seems to be doing so on purpose. He’s deliberately animated taking a deliberate action. Meaning he’s doing his best to take control of the situation, rather than falling back and letting things happen, and in doing the thing that will give him a better chance of survival is shown as having not given up on himself.

It’s a tiny detail, but Tech is kind of the guy who regularly pulls off the team’s improbable survivals and escapes, and he lives in the improbably survival franchise.

The main takeaway from my Rebels rewatch is that Kanan Jarrus/Caleb Dume was the best master to an apprentice like…ever. Anakin, Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan booo. Mace and Depa? Never heard of them. Luminara? Nah. Dooku? Nope.

Kanan Jarrus freaking adored Ezra while also adapting to Ezra’s needs as a student not forcing Ezra to be like him. Kanan deserved so much better, that’s my Jedi.
