If you couldn’t tell already, I really, really like dragons - and most things fantasy

I like to dive a little into a lot of things, so I’m able to do a multitude of arts/crafts! That doesn’t mean I’m got at a lot of them, though… For the most part, I tend to stick to crocheting and drawing, but sometimes I’ll do cross stitching, doll making, sewing/ plush making, ceramics, and more!

My friends invited me to go a week ago so I had to binge everything before today while I made out favorite characters!

It’s a less than an hour left before the end of may for me, so I made it just in time! Happy Mermay everyone!

Mermaul was made using Merman Classics amigurumi pattern by MushroomFableCrochet on Etsy!

All of his markings were made from needle felting using black and red wool roving and a 42 gauge triangle needle.

His horns are cosclay and painted in acrylic!

Red and black seed beads were also used for detailing!

I used way too many references for his markings.. haha!

In total he took me half a month to make, working on for a few hours each day.

Headcanoning that if Maul cares about you he’d hold your hair back for you if you were sick and vomiting, maybe even rub your back if it’s THAT bad, even though he’s lowkey disgusted with vomit.

Okay so like, rambling a little about maul because I’m torn and trying to cope - I can so see maul falling for someone who shows him an ounce of genuine kindness and affection, but it would take HARD WORK and A LOT OF TIME - right? But like, I feel like that person could also convince maul to settle down. But, at the same time, I also feel like he’d never get rid of the hatred he has in his heart. It’s literally his sole purpose for surviving, for continuing to live on. But it’s never impossible to change your reason for living, and half of me is like “oh yeah with the right person and enough time and effort maul can certainly make change for the better and heal so that he doesn’t hate himself and what he’s become” and then the other half of me is like “idkkk as much as he’d care for them he’d probably still choose the path of darkness maybe because he thinks he doesn’t deserve the light or he’s in too far and has to see this through or just deep down can’t let go of all that hatred” - cue the angst and sad violin. Please tell me if this makes any sense I feel like it can go both ways. I just want this man to live happily and have the happy ending that he deserves is that too much to ask for?
