i like to think snowfall's main reason for keeping icicle in prison isn't because of the murder and more so has to do with her anxiety. eventually she releases icicle because ruling a kingdom alone is hard and she needs help, but now she spends all of her time worrying that icicle's planning to kill her (since mink's too young to rule, icicle would be next in line if something unfortunate happened to snowfall, right?) and like is she planning that? idk i just think it'd be a really funny dynamic.

Every so often I'll sit there and think about how Winter is constantly labeled as being 'toxic' because of how he was in MR when like...no?? He was pretty reasonable. He is mad at Moon because he rightfully is concerned that some dragon he's never met before is coming over to eat Bandit. He also is suspicious of Moon for a good reason as there's no way she could've known about the bomb unless she set it up. We obviously side with Moon because we understand that she doesn't mean any harm and think of Winter as antagonistic, but like...he didn't do anything that bad?? He's a traumatized kid who has been taught to distrust any and all other dragons??? Labeling him as toxic and irredeemable is just kinda dumb.

I get so inexplicably happy whenever people write Qinter as more than just 'Qibli annoys Winter and it's really cute and hot'.

I'm a big fan of the idea that the two of them have...respect for one another. Like, yeah, of course they get on each others nerves, but that's not the foundation of the relationship. Rather, they find genuine love and comfort in each other. Perhaps they bond and relate to each other through their trauma and want to help each other out. They understand the pain the other is going through and just want to help. However, they themselves don't know how to cope with their own trauma, and their current methods are very different. Qibli bottles up his emotions and hides them under a mask, choosing instead to ignore them and be happy; the only time getting a chance to really confront those thoughts is when it's too much to bear. Winter on the other hand lashes out or shelters himself from others, wanting to sort it out on his own as he can't handle the thought of being weak in front of his friends (despite craving their comfort and support).

I dunno. I just like...thought and care put into my ships. I like shaking around characters and watching them interact. I like some depth to my romance that goes beyond the surface level.
