Pjo verse notes before I forget: Dev remains born a dragon turned shapeshifter from general european myth, fell in love with a daughter of hekate pre 17th century who was eventually burnt at the stake for witchcraft, captivity tbd but likely by a god affiliated with riches/treasure (maybe plutus?), less integrated into modern society and more traditional dragon lurking in dens.

Occasionally helps or hinders heroes on quests depending on her opinion of said quest. Has killed demigods seeking to carve a reputation out of their hide.

Thinking about piercing weapons working best against dragons most low caliber guns or heavy arms would just bruise and dent scales at best. They can absolutely just straight up deflect some bullets and any slashing attack. It takes precision and something incredibly sharp with significant force behind it to break through dragon scales to actually injure them in a vital area.

Basically immune to slashing damage everywhere except wing membrane, more vulnerable to piercing or blunt damage with significant force behind them. Young dragons are more vulnerable to everything due to their scales not fully hardening until they're mature.
