I have been looking at poetry for reasons recently (one of those being like an adult that develops a taste for broccoli after resenting being fed it as a child) and here is a selection of some Japanese poems that happen to feel very Dunk and Baelor to me

The ‘cedar’ in the original is maki, literally the ‘true tree’—no mere tree. The expression ‘true tree’ gives us a sense of the tree itself standing erect and tall.

Had to tag it adult content otherwise idk - I mean... there's *tension* ;) "especially built for you" by @itellyouthisisnottheend I am not normal about this fic. There's this overall softness and suddenly - boom - a phrase like this hits you like a truck and you're sweating like a sinner in a church...
