Another question I’ve answered a few years ago - even if you are a jackass IRL, if you’re forced to pretend to be humble, respectful and appreciative 24/7 (and most groups are working 20 hours a day at peak times) then it tends to become pretty damn ingrained in you until it’s a part of your personality.

If your jackassery can survive that, you must be one hell of a jackass.
