#6 Kill Me, Heal Me (2015)

Synopsis: A heir to a company who had been suffering  from DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder), also known as multiple personality disorder, since a horrific childhood trauma must continue to hide the his different personality. Trying to keep his disorder hidden he enlists the help of a first-year psychiatric resident. She is entrusted with finding a way to end all the different personality.

Review: This drama is a romantic comedy/ medical drama. The drama has a total of 20 episode all around an hour. It wasn’t as slow paced as some of the other medical dramas I had watched so that was great. Ji Sung was amazing in this drama, with his acting skills put to the test with all the different personality which he did perfectly. Of course I couldn’t forget Hwang Jung  Eum she was so cute in this drama. All in all I am in love with drama, and it should be on your watchlist.

#5 Coffee Prince (2007)

Synopsis: Go Eun Chan is  a girl who works many odd jobs in order to help support her sister and mother, including being a delivery “boy”. Choi Han Kyul is a handsome and rich play boy, much to his families dismay. Due to his families constant persistence on trying to find a way to make him settle down he hires Eun Chan as his “gay” lover. The trouble finally starts when they get to know each other. Along with the cafe, “Coffee Prince, which his grandmother puts him in charge. A cafe with an all male staff and the trouble of having to bring it from the ground up.

Review: This drama is something I saw many years ago flipping through channels, but wasn’t allowed to watch. Thinking back to it now this was the first glimpse of a Kdrama I had ever had. This one had peeked my interest those many years ago. And was not a let down even with all the hype  I had been giving it. This drama is in the group That I like to the beginners’ dramas. I personally feel like its a good gage of how corny some dramas can be. This drama has 17 episodes. All of which are around an hour long. As well as having it dubbed in Spanish, what up my fellow latinos!

#4 Boys Over Flowers

Synopsis: In Shin Hwa High School, a school based in Seoul, South Korea, their is  a group known as the Flower 4 (F4). The F4 is both praised and feared by the school. The F4 is the schools richest and most influential, making  people follow every word they say, leading to many expulsions. Geum Jan Di, a girl from a poor dyer-cleaner family, who is one day making a drop off in the elite school. Her delivery is a school suit for a student who is given the red notice, a sign of the F4. The boy had enough of the torture was going to end his life, but Jan Di saves him. Due to that Jan Di get a scholarship to cover up the fact that this school is dangerous. Now Jan Di has to face them herself.

 Review: While Boys Over Flowers is one that I find myself rewatching several time, after watching Kdramas for several years I find the plot much like the rest. This drama is a good one to watch for beginners in Kdramas. There is also different versions of this drama having a Japanese, Taiwanese, as well as a manga and an anime adaptation.

Synopsis: After a fortune teller tells Pi Ya Nuo parents that their daughter has to live as a male till her 26th birthday, or else she would die. Pi Ya Nuo lives as a man with no problems till she was 25th. Pi Ya Nuo one day saves a man, Du Zhi Feng, and his sister. Pi Ya Nuo and Du Zhi Feng soon become sworn brother. Pi Ya Nuo has to decide to stay Du Zhi Feng brother or reveal the fact that she is in fact a girl and had been lying to him the whole time.

Review: This drama is one of the  first Taiwanese drama I enjoyed to watch. The drama it self was extremely good and their was a little bit of everything. I love that the simple fact that the female lead in this drama is strong and able to defend herself. It also lead to find the singer Bii! This drama is a must watch!

Synopsis: Once Considered to be the most beautiful girl in her hometown, Kang Joo Eun, is now a workaholic lawyer. Being a lawyer has taken a toll on her body making her gain weight. She is dump by her long term boyfriend for a another woman. Wanting to once again become beautiful she will try anything to loose weight. Even if it means blackmailing “Kim John”, a personal trainer trying to escape rumors about him and celebrity in Los Angles.

Review: This drama was a nice escape from the rich guy and poor girl type of dramas. Although it took me a while to really get into, once I did I binge watch the rest of the episodes. One of my favorite thing is that I felt like the pairing in this drama was perfect! So no heartbreak over the other male who where cast. Henry Lau was a good comic relief in this drama, he was adorable, funny, and not to mention had some English line as well. In the future I hope that Lau will get more dramas, maybe even a lead someday!
