rob thomas’ pov if he ever has the misfortune of being in the same room as me:

first he tries to pretend duncan didn’t rape veronica and then he tries to make us feel SYMPATHY for duncan that his attraction for veronica didn’t go away when he (mistakenly) learned she was his sister so much so he can’t stop himself from raping her (the timeline of s1 is sort of fucked because he also has no attention to detail) at least six months after he learns this and instead of telling her why or even that they’re broken up he just ghosts her while still going to the same school as her, seeing her every day and veronica still being best friends with his other sister. Stands idly by as the whole school targets and attacks her and then goes after her only female friend meg and starts dating her - takes megs virginity too while still being completely hung up on, in his mind, his sister - gets meg pregnant while he’s at it only to dump her and then basically stalk veronica at work every day while she’s in a relationship with his best friend waiting until they break up to then swoop in when she’s vulnerable AGAIN to take what he wants from her only to then be hung up on meg the whole time they’re back together!!!!!!!!!!!! All while Rob having the AUDACITY to frame duncan as the good guy to logan’s bad boy. Making us endure half the season of the absolute HELL that is duncan and veronica back together with the end of their relationship framing it that their’s is still a first, pure, true love that will endure forever with only outside circumstances keeping them apart and saying things like “duncan is a good guy he would never cheat on veronica” when asked if anything actually went down between duncan and kendall when in reality duncan is one of the most insane and twisted characters on the show with an absolutely deranged and erratic relationship towards the women he dates but especially veronica who spends the majority of their screen time together believing they’re related AND being hung up on her 😭😭😭
