how many of you use tumblr tbh
i don't really use the communities feature here on tumblr dot com, but i do think it's funny that the three topics the "Check out these communities!" embeds on the dashboard have decided will really appeal to me are the Butch for Butch community (which is, you know, not really My Scene), various communities to AMC's Interview with a Vampire (a tv series I have not yet watched based on novels I have not read), and a community dedicated to American Psycho (a movie I have seen twice in my life based on a novel I have never read).
with a lot of fandom stuff, i usually see more posts complaining about (thing) than i see folks posting (thing), and over the past month or two i've seen an uptick in posts criticizing elements of the tumblr fandom culture surrounding hit 2025 film Sinners, so i guess it's nice that tumblr decided to start showing me examples of what people are criticizing first hand so i can better empathize with my mutuals (#my mutuals)

My scorching hot take on Christopher Nolan Presents Homer's The Odyssey is Tom Holland having his mind blown while filming this, then going back to Marvel to and being all "Why did no one tell me that you can, like, have a finished script before you start filming and a cinematographer who has all the shots planned before filming instead of figuring it out in post, has anyone else heard about this?" is pretty funny
Visionary Director Christopher Nolan's controversial directing style of "telling actors what's happening in a scene when they're filming"
